Respectfully Nucker left of his own accord and it had just as much to do with his obsessive whining about Benning as it was about some of the posters badgering him. It takes two to tango.

The pack mentality always exists in these kind of blogs can't get around it. The Vets always think they run the show and the newbies are sometimes never really welcomed in. It is what it is. But for the most part this is still a fantastic group of passionate posters here and if we all take a little bit of a collective step back, look in the mirror for 10 seconds sometimes before we post all should be good.

I have total faith that the majority of posters in here will be just fine in the future. There are always going to be heated arguments...we just need to be big enough to get past it all.

He left because everyone was riding his ass about his opinions, right or wrong, that's the point. I didn't see a ref coming to his aid. Now everyone is riding certain individuals asses for their opinions and it's not allowed anymore....why the new standards?

Why is everyone, including Makita, acting like this hasn't happened before?

Edit: I'm not saying just because it happened in the past it's ok, I'm just saying it's par for the course in terms of historical data around here.

I think the lack of activity predicted for Canucks gives this group little to talk about. It really is the dog days , plow through them guys , plow through them.

Another option is to step back and enjoy summer. Much like DCT, Nucker for example.

Even myself to some degree, why get into a pissing match and feed those who thrive on controversy?

Couldnt help but notice the high end skill of Mittelstadt... more so than Petersson... looks stronger on his feet than Petersson as well.

Pettersson is just too skinny. Needs that beefcake protein powder.

Are there skaters in the NHL that are as slight as him and still effective? nothing jumps to mind on my end.

Guess we won't see him in a Canucks uni for a few years.

Wasnt Mike Riberio like 145-150 pounds for the first few years of his career? Its not ideal but if he's skilled enough he'll make it work as he has thus far

I think I am being a bit selfish.

Just not wanting to see him take a beating from bigger players.

I guess he'll be okay with the Canucks, put Gaunce on his wing so he can play the Semenko role.

I had a difficult time watching Philip Larsen last season.

I remember Petr Svoboda looked skinny and had a long career.

yeah, sure, I guess he'll be fine.

It's a less physical game these days, if he gets stronger legs and stays as fast/agile as he looks he'll be fine IMO. 10-15 pounds of muscle.

I don't understand what the big issue is??? Before Makita became a ref there was a pack mentality in here and no one seemed to have an issue with it, this is not something new. Where was this protectionism mentality when the group ran Nucker out of town because he wasn't onboard with Benning from the early stages of his moves?

We used to talk about anything and everything in here and had a good time at it, for the most part. Booner and I used to talk fishing all the time, it was a fun place to come and unwind, have a chat. He used to go back to the first page and dissect every word and then comment until he got to the end....some good debates there for sure haha.

This thread is becoming like society in general, the minority get to rule while we cater to their needs. If someone's a disruptive Richard head then why not call them out on it? Should we just ignore the problems of the world and hope they'll go away?

Evolve or die is an interesting scientific idea.

There is one extremely disruptive poster who has one misogynist ally. The ally posts ignorant things once every 6 months or so and feels that their opinion is more valued and accurate then anyone else's, that arrogance had led them to be disliked by several regulars on the board. Other then the self love, narcissistic personality disorder this poster has good ideas and some ok posts. The other one who showed up less then a year ago, has pissed of everyone at least once, doesn't take any accountability for their actions and should leave because they haven't been able to evolve the things they say to not piss people off.
Makita was extremely lenient with them even arguing with the new one but not banning him, despite being asked to by a large number of posters. This eventually led to this poster going over his head to complain about our ref. This pisses me and others off as Makita is a good ref and doesn't deserve that sort of treatment.
I headed Makita ask and didn't engage even as buckU prodded and boasted about teaching me a lesson and showing me up. His partner egging him on with every negative inflammatory post.

Mr narcissist even continues to post about how everyone that disagrees with him is being childish even though he ran to the teacher to rat out Makita when he felt that he wasn't getting the treatment or respect that he deserved.

Anyways, blah blah blah.

If Buck4U had been banned on October 13th lat year we wouldn't be in this situation.

It was difficult. I know EDM tried to get him back for a time and I was optimistic about him playing in Van but man did he struggle out there. Super soft and 80% of the time (to me) it almost looked like he had no clue what he was doing in certain situations in the defensive zone.

I took a few months off last winter but there is a good crew here so i came back.

Two posters, one the new one who pisses everyone off , and his bro, complained to captainEO that our ref wasnt doing a good job so our ref is quitting.

THAT is why I'm not going to give either nuck4u or stidragon any respect even if it leads to me being banned.

There had always been arguments on this board, grow a pair and thicken your skin, don't be a rat.

Nuck4U & Dragon went behind Makita's back to complain about him for not 'disciplining posters for direct & indirect attacks'. Makita quit.

I do think Nucker is super sharp and one of the better posters on here and it is good to see him back in the Nucks thread from time to time. Maybe things would have been a bit different if a ref did step in a bit that's a good point but hard to say.

But people also need to have a bit thicker skin when they are constantly posting their 'opinions'. There will be backlash of a sorts and a lot of it is up to the individual(s) ability to handle the criticism coming back at them...a lot of which is warranted in some cases.

I'm just hoping this whole situation is a nice wake up call for the whole group.
