Drouin is great but if you're gonna trade away your top prospect and do du patchage around the guy you get for him what was really the point.... |

I gotta admit it's 5M less than Markov, but it's less production too.
That said, always loved Streit and letting him go to UFA years ago was a huge mistake, and I will cheer for him.

Guys we have like $8 million monies left in cap space, I don't think MB is done. If Markov was signed that would handicap them to getting an upgrade for the offense. Streit is not as good, but he's still a capable defenseman and at $700k is a steal. |

Not likely. His direction for the team seems boring and risky in todays NHL but it could work. Boring stay at home defense that limit high scoring chances on Price and an offense that can produce but doesn't need to produce much if the boring defensive style is being executed well. NJ Devils circa 90s with less clutching and headshots... should be a blast |

I highly doubt that.
I would totally agree he could be fired after the season though, when they once again fail to win the 1st round. That is if they make the playoffs... |
