Mcdavid had more assists then Matthews had points and I wouldn't chalk that up to his half a year NHL experience, Matthews had a lot of ugly goals and didn't have many assists only 29

Jets and Leafs have a very similar roster. Leafs a little stronger up front, the Jets a little stronger on D. Leafs have a better goalie.

If the Jets are to keep up though, they'll have to do something about their coaching and management. Otherwise, they won't win anything. at all.

You have to understand that every time the Canadian media mentions McDavid they lump Matthews in somehow.

If people can't figure out that the media wants to make everything related to, and interesting for, the largest market in Canada, then I don't know what to tell you.

He was 11th last year in points per game. That is with high ankle sprain and just skated the other day for the first time without his ankle being wrapped. High ankle sprain is the worst injury to play through. He is also top three in the league scoring chance. number one in skating puck out of his own zone and second zone entry. With better team and coach and being healthy all year he will be top five in points.

I mean, we all know that if McDavid plays the whole season he is voted winner unanimously, playing like he was. But he only played half the season.

He was the better player for the half season he played no doubt. Age difference doesn't matter. It's best season under the age of 25, and meeting rookie restrictions. They don't give bonus points for being younger. and they don't award it for half seasons.
