The fact that someone legitimately said "no one wants Giroux in my fantasy league so his value is zero in the NHL" is heartbreaking. - Giroux_Is_God
This is true but I have Giroux portraits, jerseys, tshirts and all being that he was my fav player. But I like to be honest all the time and the past two years I have seen him as a very lazy and unmotivated captain. I do not know how bad he is banged up by certainly not the same guy he was. I keep thinking it may be Hakstol's system but not sure but if you watch him he seems to be more interested in floating. That being said I hope he can bounce back and get back in the 70 point range where he should be. |

The object of the game is to hit and not be hit. Obviously he can not take it and not quick or smart enough to avoid it. 80 games missed in six years is not good for the team. You have to know who is on the ice at all times, sure many hits are unavoidable but head down and you will pay. - joegreif17

Today @ 8:50 AM ET
On a team full of guys who can't do jack poop at ES and can only score on the PP... Coots is on an island.
Flank him w/ a couple of guys who can also get it done at ES, and Coots' numbers will respond accordingly.
Yep
It really is this simple |

Some Flyers fans:
"I am going to criticize Brayden Schenn for scoring most of his points on the power play and not being a difference maker at even strength"

Well, if they can't find something to be hypocritical of and female dog about, how do you expect them to be proud of themselves? |

In tangential Flyers news, went to see The Who last night in Atlantic City. Spectacular show. On the way out, spotted Bob Kelly in the throng of people exiting the arena. |

Cooter does almost everything well (or very well). But he's not a good finisher. Great playmaker, but the Flyers don't have many wingers to put with him who are good finishers. Schenn's ability to score off re-directions, one timers and crease crashing goals is part of why they were so productive together.
We won't see Cooter's full offensive potential until we get him goal scoring wingers. Hopefully somebody better than Weise, but at least they're compatible.
Long term I see Cooter being the veteran centre that young wingers will sometimes get paired with to ease them into the NHL. I like the idea of him with big wingers who can finish (like Ratcliffe or Strome) |

This was #8, imagine how bad it is going to be in the early 20's with the picks received for Schenn. Chances of winnng this trade is slim to none. |

You are correct but you are overlooking the obvious importance of body checking, how hard you hit people or how you are aware of your surroundings so you can take a decent hit and not get destroyed like Couter. He hits like a 98 pound weakling on the forecheck, actually he does not finish checks he swoops in and skates by and he seems to get his bell rung because he is not aware of Ovechkins running around trying to take his head off. |
