They actually think they're 1 or 2 pieces away from winning a cup. - leafsfann
Piece #1 - players who can score.
Piece #2 - coach and GM who are competent.

I'm curious, is there any evidence that milage is a factor? I'm not saying it doesn't play a role, but unless there is evidence of this, I'd assume age and genetics (some people have bodies that are more predisposed to injury and wearing down than others) are by far the bigger driving forces than number of games played. - CaptCrankypants
Well, I am no physician. But father time catches up with all of us. Mileage or not, 2-3 years from now Corey's reflexes will slow, and that can't improve his game. The timing isn't great for Corey and the rebuild, but it might work, hopefully. |

Schneider has something in common with Bishop.
When he is hot, he flirts with true "elite" status.
When he is off his game, he is still no worse than average.
Most nights he is somewhere in between, which equates to above average.
Schneider is the least of the Devils' issues. - GalacticStone
Seems like an issue of every goalie actually. |

I dig the tiny little island of hair on the front of his head. Maybe going to Messiers old team will inspire him to break out the razor. |

Florida has internal budget which they've exceed and are now trying to cut costs. Like any small market team that needs league assistance to survive. I wish they would move them to Quebec. |

Jagr will land on a team. Still plenty of competitors with cap space.
With our RW depth is anyone going to be surprised to see P.A. Parenteau come back to NJ next year? I find it a bit surprising that a 34 year old who puts up 30-40 points a year that can be had for a cheap one year contract can't find a team. |

Jagr and PAP on a PTO death match in NJ for that last RW spot. Book it! |

Kenny Morrison- 25yr old 6'2'' 210lbs

Parayko re-signed for 5 years at 5.5, no reason the Devils shouldn't be able to sign Severson for 5 years at 5 per. |
