I'm not going to agree with anything you say until you tell me, in what capacity, Mike Richards was a better captain than Eric Lindros. If nothing else, Lindros' Hart speech in 1995 should put him above Mr. Dry Island.
Edit: I own 2 Mike Richards jerseys, as well as a 2 Flyers chairs signed by him, and have possibly the world's largest Mike Richards card collection...but come on.

Hope they sign the Russian kid, why not, his contract can slide if needed and he is showing some strong offensive abilities according to the reports.

I think consensus is if Sanheim makes the club there's going to be a nuclear winter. Since the D will be Provy, Gudas, Ghost, Morin, Hagg, Sanheim and one of Manning or MacDonald.

Having 2 top 100 picks not signed in consecutive years looks bad, any way you cut it, and a GM does not like it, especially the standard the Flyers hold themselves too. They drafted him for whatever reason that high, had him ranked over all these other kids in the system, so they'll probably sign him for the same reason. It's not like they can't spare a contract; plus they've done a good job staggering a lot of college/foreign kids to hold off on contracts. I would be surprised if Twar isn't signed. And Hextall signed Goulbourne, who to me is a worse prospect than DMF. That seemed like saving face to me. Twar hasn't not panned out......DMF didn't not pan out. They are what they are. People thought so on draft day. I do think, again, that Twar is a bit better than DMF and he could play a role.
A difference between Twar and DMF is that DMF is playing his OA (over age) season next year -- the Flyers lost his rights in the process. Twarynski is playing his OA season next year, while we still have his rights, due to his early birthday. So, he has to be in the pro ranks season after.
