Sakic owes nothing to any team outside of Avalanche. He sets criteria for trade and should hold out for getting best deal on his time and terms like buying a car. It gets cheaper the longer you negotiate

It's really not that complicated. The price is Crosby + Murray plus some draft picks for Duchene. As soon as they work out the draft picks Sakic will approve it and we can all move on.

Nah its one thing to talk hockey and have fun. What I see are a bunch of people really upset and freaking out, calling people names. Sports meltdowns happen all the time and they're hilarious! I love this site for that. Hockey is entertainment and so is Hockeybuzz lol.

Unfortunately its been an ongoing thing with this Duchene deal. Seems like everytime someone mentions what the supposed packages offered were it changes from any of the previous "proposed" package was a few comments prior. Media makes everything exponentially worse by egging it on.

I guess we will see what the truth really is when (if) this ever comes to fruition. Until then, we all are just sifting through mass quantities of verbal diarrhea!

I now realise the problem in this matter.

EK hasn't announced the Duchene sweeps yet. As soon as he does look out for the stampede to win that bugger!!

Garth snow is dumb but he doesn't really dangle other GMs around, he still plays the game, Joe doesn't want to play the game and it never ends well for people who don't understand taking less now to get more later, relationship building and all that good stuff...

The Avs are better without you. Just out of curiosity, seeing as how you're so enlightend. What has Sakic said on the matter? I apologize I don't have hours, or even an hour, nor do I care to go digging into a matter that has been bombarded with astornomical proportions of bulls__t (and the little I have, Sakic really hasn't shown his hand).

Edit: Outside of the obvious top 4 D, prospect, pick. Sakic doesn't need to fess up to what teams have asked. He knows what the Avs need, and shouldn't have to say anything until he sees a fit. As for Duchene, I stated earlier that Media has created this abomination that hes 100% done with the Avs. Every interview I have seen from him he has stated he would love to stay in COL, and that its just the nature of pro hockey, the possability of being traded.

It was already confirmed that Sakic turned down Isles offer of Hamonic a prospect and a 1st and said he wanted much more so we know exactly what the price is.
