Bingo. The Pens weren't as fast of a team as they were last year and the Leafs are now one of the fastest, if not the fastest teams in the league. Hainsey in a speed-based system like that is going to expose a lot of his weakness.

Regardless, the Leafs are getting better and I expect either JVR or Bozak to be moved for a dman.

About the same. Both softish, but JVR will want longer term after next season and he's too valuable a chip not to move for a good DMAN.

I dont think its so much about an upgrade as it is about maybe JVR is the key piece theyre putting together for another Dman. Lose zero assets to sign Patty so thats a plus.

Why not sign Radulov at that price though?

Price is honestly the only goalie worth it IMO. They just can't develop prospects so it doesn't matter but at least MTL gets playoffs for the next 10 years
