NJ with $25 million open cap space.
Do they just throw a bankroll at Markov, and Radulov?

- puckhead17

They need to reach the cap floor still. They should sign and trade us Kovalchuk while retaining 100% of the salary

Nice job, Jan. Thanks for the tireless work.
I am still a little giddy! 4 years!! Never imagined the signing would end up like it did.

For those talking about trading McD, it hasn't even been 24 hours since we got the D line up we want!! Settle down. Let's play some hockey before we decide there's a need to tinker!
I don't see why Zib can't have a shot at being our 1C. With a summer of training and strengthening his leg, the is no real reason to think we'll see less production than what he showed before his injury. And if either Boo or Andersson can step up for the 4C role, that leaves us one centre away from a complete and fairly impressive lineup. I'd like to see Gorton take a run at Yakapov for the 3C. Shouldn't be too much risk involved and could be a whole lot of upside.

He hasn't played center his entire career. Drafted as a winger and has played wing his whole career.

Obviously just making fun of that dumbass nyrangers9479 that just wants to "add something" and dump him
- rangerdanger94

Getting a team to take him on to reach a cap floor with a few picks instead of having dead cap space for 6 years? Yes, dumbass idea. He has 15 teams he has to submit 7/1/18, I think we'd be able to work something out.

I liked the idea, but I wasn't sure he ever played C either.

I agree, maybe a better way to go, but he didn't look very good in playoffs last year. Not sure who would want him?
Then again G to TB.

- puckhead17

Oh, you're not wrong. I just see a lot of trades I don't fully understand, so I hope there's a way.
Maybe some club will adopt a style that calls for a slow, vision-impaired, multi-concussed D-man!

...oh wait, Detroit already signed McI!!!!

Well, obviously that's been the problem with him. Move him to C and he'll flourish!

Just like last year when I said trade Stepan and everyone was calling me a dumbass then also for wanting to trade a 26 year old "#1" center. Obviously I wasn't the only one that felt that way. Or when I said were to vanilla and need to add some toughness, I was a dumbass then also......oo wait.....others must have seen the same thing bc we clearly are beginning to address that with Smith and Deangelo. But......I must be a dumbass. Unless it's a few on this boards idea, it's a dumbass idea until they come up with the idea. Then it's a great idea.

Seriously?!? Oops, my bad. I thought he was a centre that just played wing 'cause EDM had no room. Not sure I've seen him play since he left there.

Cammalleri and Hartnell each at 1mil would have been nice adds, lengthens the lineup, can move up and down the roster if need be. Solid adds in LA and Nash.

Speaking of snowflakes, did leftists really believe Trump beat up some guy or incited violence? That tweet is needless but I just saw a headline that read "Trump pummels man who's face is covered by CNN logo" , I don't think the WWF has ever had a non fake "pummeling, that's right I called it WWF, bring it back, make wrestling great again

Unfortunately all we need to do is extend Severson and call up a few ELCs and that puts us at cap floor. Owners have shown they are completely unwilling to spend money now that Vanderbeek is gone.

Next year is a considerably better UFA crop, really hope Washington lets Carlson walk. Exactly what the Devils need.

Good question, I doubt it but this may be the breaking point year for the Caps with Ovi
