Gotta say, as a rangers fan, it's been awesome watching the Capitals' offseason. Man did they just cripple themselves with some of these contacts for the next decade. - rangerdanger94
they should have bit the bullet on the Orpik buyout
they really are bad at managing contracts, they have no bargains, none.
Well, Backstrom I guess is a bit of a bargain now when you see all these other crazy contracts |

Was that back in the Bruins days? Don't remember that. - Fenrir
i REMEMBER a few incidents w him in Boston where he had a few dirty plays against us, 1 where he slew footed Petr Nedved but probably the 1 incident he means was when early in the 2011-12 season he said publicly he was disappointed the Sharks lost to such a soft team (meaning us) & Torts went back at it w him in the press. |

Caps will still finish with 115 points & cruise it into the playoffs & lose again in Round 2...yawn. |

Would like to get (besides more help at center) another gritty type forward to fill out the bottom 6. I don't care if its a veteran for 1 year, we could use that (look how Glass helped late last yr)on this team. |

I can't believe the Capitals couldn't get a better deal for Johannson than that, especially to send to division rival
it's such a bad deal, I wonder if it was a little present to the Devils who may have been preparing an offer sheet to one of the Capitals, and it was a gift for not doing it - jimbro83
great point. what they are doing doesn't make much sense |
