Wasnt he highly touted during the draft? I thought he had some serious potential at one point. no risk move by CGY for sure. - richardson30
12th overall in 2011, but, looks like a bust-a-roonie |

So i was looking at the other teams that are rumored to be in on Shatty, to be honest the team with the best "position" to offer him is the rangers. He is garanteed to be our #1 top pairing. and on a team competing for the cup. outside of money - why would he sign in NJ? they are in rebuild mode. TB - is he even in their top 2 pairings? and BOS- is doing a similar build on the fly thing.
if it isnt about money, i definitely think he signs here. I would not be opposed to $6.5M for 4-5 years. anything more i take a pass. |

I got married in 75 . If people tell you have to work at a marriage then get the hell out . Can't remember a day we work at staying together . - way out west
I call bullpoop! Glad you're happy, but come on. I'm coming up on 13 years next month and we're quite happy, but nobody is 100% happy with their spouse 100% of the time.
EVERYONE has their annoying traits or decisions or takes someone for granted at times. The trick is to work through that openly and without blowing up over it, because in the end, that's the insignificant stuff.

I don't see us signing a single winger unless its for a 13th forward. We have 12 guys we all want to see playing, I don't get why we'd want any UFA winger.
We need to sign 1 center (I think Andersson plays immediately, based off what I have read). A back-up goalie (probably our most important signing this off-season). And maybe 1 defenseman.
I seriously wouldn't expect much beyond that. My anticipation lies with the center we pick up and the back-up goalie. I'd be willing to pay a bit more to replace Raanta and get a guy that can eat 35 games. |

The only winger I could see being moved is Miller but unless the return is a little bit of an overpayment I think we should hold onto him. Yak could be a great pickup and Hartnell for the 4th line could be a solid pickup, could move up when guys get hurt instead of AV's love child. |
