My bad... you're right... was thinking of another wasted first rounder... Tinordi.
Of course we can add a bunch of names to that list it seems.
Let's try to do a list of the worst picks by the Habs in recent memory.

I'd rather not, it's just too depressing.
The fact that Timmins and Lefebvre still have a job just makes me mad ... I guess they don't care, as long as the fans suckers fill the stands at exhorbitant prices then everything is ok. |

Speaking of possible busts...
What are the odds Scherbak gets any time with the big club this year? |

from what I've seen, no chance.
he'll need another year to prove he's progessing, to dominate at the AHL level. |

he floats around most of the time
Put Gally's heart with his talent and you would have a great top 6 player. Instead you have someone who will play in the KHL in a couple years |

Just for kicks, I was just looking at our draft picks in the last 10 years ... I shouldn't have.

Mathias Brunet came out with this beauty earlier today:
to which a poster responded with the following:

True.
Would love to see something finally click in his head and have him start to progress as a well rounded player too. |

It's a troubling list...
good news is if you go back 20 years we had, like, 2 or 3 good picks!
EDIT:
Eeek... Don't look at 1999, 2000, 2008, and 2009! |

When the Habs were a winning organization some 30 years ago, they would have found the head scout hanging from the rafters at the old Forum if his record looked anything like Timmins' & cie.
EDIT: This organization has lost it's way a long time ago ... the fact that we haven't had a #1 center in 20 years illustrates this fact perfectly. |
