I would give Doan a 1 year 2.5 contract. Exactly the type of player that Van could use to show JV and Boeser how to play the game.

After Drouin trade, Sergachev who was 9th OA and a 2nd rounder for the 3OA.

Most scouts and other NHL people feel Tanev is not a top pairing D. A good 3 because of his limited offence.

Sergachev was projected to be a top pairing.

People that think Tanev is worth the 3OA even in this draft are a bit crazy.

Trade to Dallas I heard was Stephen Johns, 29OA, 3OA for Tanev and 5Oa. So really Johns and 29OA plus moving up two spots for Tanev.

I could see a trade with Dallas or Colorado happening. Doubt Benning wants ts to lose out on Vilarxi/Glass, so he wants some guarantee. The only way to get that is select in top 4.

Thats bad, no way. Forget about moving up 2 spots it's not worth it. We'll likely get who we want at 5. Tanev for a mid 1st and prospect. Johns is basically a 5-6. Quality over quantity please.

Won't be surprising if Tanev is still here come October. I hope you're right and Makar is gone, I think he is the only D JB would take at 5.
