I think Makar is a pretty special player you cant pass up though - SMBDragon
I wouldn't pass on Makar.

I would. Two months ago he wasn't top 8 and now with Media hype he is number 1.
He is smaller and fast and played in an easy league. I would save our first round top Dman pick for next year and grab the big center so we can push the Sedins out the door this year. |

Glass, Vilardi. I am not high on Middlestadt but wouldn't be upset. |

Lots of teams waiting for lists to be announced Sunday so they can then call Vegas and work out trades for unprotected guys from other teams
Get on board Jim |

For me, this draft is about getting centre's, Glass/Vilardi at 5, hopefully Anderson-Dolan at 33, Shaw at 55. Then we go for defensemen at 64 and 95, one of them either Phillips or Rasanen.
Wouldn't complain if Benning picks Pierre-Olivier Joseph or Jokiharju. |

I said last night hernias can be a big deal and are for some but other people aren't as effected. I have a friend who is a national champion in his sport he has 2 of them and is still the best in his sport and works through them. Some are effected more than others. Also the severity of the hernia and where it is located is a big factor as well.
I personally think he will go 1st overall. |

I have seen him and Glass play. Patrick is better.
Edit: Stop trying to get our hopes up. |

Ya not sure we can spend the 5th pick on a small dman coming out of Junior A no matter how much he dominated down there.
It's Glass or Vilardi IMO.
Center is the priority for sure to at least get the Sedins to the third line in a year or two... |

I'm out. It was a groin hernia. Those are scary and ones that may never heal right. That is a huge factor and I wouldn't be surprised if dropped either. |

Agreed. As much as most don't want to hear it, the Seedy twins will get extended for a season. We have no one as replacements. |

If this season is a disaster under Green then I'm sure ownership will look at making a change. But I have a feeling we are going to finish out of the bottom 5 with Green here having a bit of an impact much like WD did in his first season. Probably finishing 20-25th just enough to get us a sh!tty pick in the good draft coming next year |
