According to this article, Canucks rising stars may surprise you.

Vancouver Canucks
When you’re one of the worst teams in the NHL, the odds are high that the Vancouver Canucks will not lose a proven talent in the expansion draft. The Canucks rising stars (Thatcher Demko, Cole Cassels and Guillaume Brisebois) are exempt from the draft, and the best case scenario for them is losing a veteran like Derek Dorsett to the Knights, which opens a roster spot for a younger forward. This will help the Canucks to become a more athletic team on the ice next season.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Total bunk, Demko aside as prospect of hope, Thomas Conroy is clueless. But if Vegas has the same take then DD is a loss Canucks can easily fill. |

A healthy Dorsett is a decent player . I would not be surprised to see VGK take him

SUre, that's not my point. My point is that Benning will be fired if we trade Tanev. |

We all are expecting a rough 2017 season. But I look forward to development and working in of Canuck prospects into the line up. Canucks could have $26M plus off the cap by the end of the season. They could use that $ for UFA's to go after two hometown in their prime players in a LW 27yo & C 28yo skilled top 6.
Canucks could trade LE for rights to Nichushkin and cap dump goalie this offseason would help set up 2018. Then, Sutter & Guddy are traded at TDL to win now Habs for prospects and picks. Gaudette leaves NCAA finishes season on Canucks. Plus Canuck Russians leave KHL and sign for 2018.
So in this scenario Canucks could add to prospect pool and still dramatically change roster by 2018. Green could have 4 balanced young lines to play a pressure style with size, speed, skill and grit throughout.
Kane Turris BB - LS - RS - RS
Sven Bo Nichushkin - LS - LS - RS
Dahlen Glass JV - LS - RS - RS
Goldy Guadette Granlund - LS - RS - LS
Edler Stecher
Hutton Tanev

If Benning is afraid of a fickle owner he is not the GM I want. |

Glass may be gone before ehe gets to us.
It could go
Hirschire
Nolan
Glass
Vilardi
Us
Benning is going to do something stupid and pick Rasmussen. Don't shoot the messenger. - thundachunk
I would hate this situation, but I can see it happening. I'd take Makar, just for how much teams value him (trade bait). Or go with Petterson
I really want Villardi. |

I try and stay on my bosses good side...call me crazy. If Aqulini is actually ok with a rebuild then he should give Linden and Benning the green light to suck for the next two years. Don't worry about the standings, just accumulate young assets and picks. |

It depends on your situation in life, if you're financially secure, which Benning should be, you put up with a lot less poop. That being said, there's only 30 of these jobs in the world, 31 now I guess.
I think ownership has taken a step back after a few (frank)ups! |

If that's the case then hopefully Benning is holding firm on what he wants for Tanev. |

A top eight pick and a shot at drafting Pettersson along with Glass/Mittelstadt/Makar would be phenomenal for the clubs future. |

Hypothetically, let's assume Edler would waive. Who would you rather trade? Obviously the return for Tanev would be greater. Personally, id trade Edler for a mid first and keep Tanev until the 2019 deadline |
