55 is to much to add. Tavev alone could get Galchenyuk. JV will still turn out and is a lot younger than Beaulieu who has yet to make a big impact. Also he is RFA so you still have to get him signed. JV still has one year left and has a lot to prove. I'm not giving up on JV yet. |

Fair enough. I don't have the same faith in JV. I don't see him as anything more then a 3rd liner, that's why the added 55th. Both Galchenyuk and Beaulieu would be solid additions and still young. |

Beaulieu had 5 guys ahead of him on the Canadiens blue line. Tanev has no-one ahead of him on our blue line. Does that say more about how sh!tty our blue line is or how good theirs is. Theirs isn't that good. You have to think they are looking to improve with this traded have another the works.

He had a good memorial cup, I'll give you that. But he hasn't played an NHL game yet, him and Juolevi are still unknowns. Whereas Drouin has already gone through the growing pains and is in a better spot to help the Habs (they are in win-now mode until Price is retired)
I would trade Sergachev for Drouin any day of the week, personally.
edit: really is a shame they traded PK, they would be younger and have a larger window |
