No body is helping. We finished 24 th when Sutter wasn't here or Gudbrandson.
This is a bad team that has been free falling since 2012 . Players leave here and flourish and good players come here and suffocate.
Torts said it best , this a a stale team that needs a change . They have changed some personnel but the style is the same.
There are so many bad things about this team itis like trying to plug a Swiss Cheese dyke. - VANTEL
I just think it's worth exploring getting rid of him, to a much better team like Edmonton he might have value. You could pick up a pick and save yourself some money in the process. Every little bit could potentially make a difference when you're rebuilding. |

Our D gave up 40 shots a night regularly and scored 21 goals . They proably had under five fights combined. I am not sure we certainly need any of them. |

Sbisa had great season last year. - thundachunk
No he didn't. When you look at his underlying numbers he made most of his teammates worse while he was on the ice. He played better than the previous year and was nicer to the eye test |

GMs do talk about that stuff...thats why they arrange fishing trips etc
Sometimes they arent honest though either.
When burke drafted the sedins he told Atlanta he wanted Stephan badly, it was a ploy so he wouldnt take a sedin with the #1oa. Sure enough atlanta picked Stephan 1oa leaving both sedins for 2 &3oa. - SMBDragon
it definitely did not happen like that. Burke made it very clear he was taking a Sedin before he maneuvered into the 1st overall spot. He then traded Atlanta the first pick and another on the condition that they didnt take a Sedin

I wrote a big response basically saying the same thing, it didn't happen like that AT ALL. But the site decided to not post my response. |

Everything should b looked at . I for one think Linden said the R word just to keep the masses happy. When Canucks move Edler then I will believe it. |

For all the talk of Cale Makar going in top 5.
Tried to find the last D taken from the AJHL that has done anything in the league.
In steps Colton Parayko. 3 rounder(pretty sure may have forgotten already).
Was not a PPG but well he's much much larger then Makar is. Played 3 years of College before stepping into the pro's.
Looking like a steal in the 3rd round. Just not a top 10 player in his draft still.
Is Makar that much better to be drafted that high? |

We're talking about what should happen, not what will happen. If the Canucks had good managers they'd trade Sutter, his 4+ million dollar salary has helped the team finish 2nd and 3rd last in the past two years. He's a decent third line center on a much better team but he's crap for the Canucks. - LeftCoaster

I hope this is Benning's last year, he's so bad at his job - LeftCoaster
You expected the mess that Gillis left to be fixed in a few years? Have a look at the clubs that have locked up 9-10 NTC's in the past decade…and that's exactly what it takes to fix…a decade. Where are we year 4 coming up? |

I hope it's his last year because he's bad at his job, not because he can't fix things fast enough....fair? |

Oh it's on, you just can't move guys with trade clauses (that refuse to move) nor do you want to void the franchise of any veteran presence. |
