i thought eveyerone talked about Bo's salary comparing to Trocheck's salary. 4.5-4.75 tops? Why all of a sudden is he getting 5.5? Yikes!

Sorry boys, I'm listening to 1040 right now. Pratt says he'd trade Tanev and 5OA to move up to 1OA or 2OA

Who we get at 5th can be just as good as Patrick or Hischier. Just a few years behind in development. Pratt..

Pratt is like having any awkward boner.

Nobody needs to see or hear about that poop....
It's kinda uncomfortable to be around.....
Eventually, if you pay to much attention to it, you'll end up getting in trouble.

tell that to Vantal

If we draft high NEXT year, there's a real chance we get someone with a "potentialy" higher ceiling than Bo, BUT there's Yaupovs, Reinharts, Dal Colles out there too.

All I'm saying is you cant guarantee that you automatically get someone good and then project him for the future 1C just by drafting high, that's absurd.

As for Kadri, this is the first time he's outscored BO and it took him 5 years, so lets where Bo's numbers are in year 5.

- Brooks_Light

I guess it all depends on how you look at it, regarding Kadri. As a 20 year old he put up 40 points in 48 games, Horvat put up 40 points in 82 games as a 20 year old.

Kadri put up 44 points in 48 games as a 21 year old, Horvat put up 52 in 81 games at the same age...both played on poopty teams.

Horvat would look great behind a true number one center much like Kadri is doing IMO. I still maintain Kadri is the better player until proven otherwise though.

You're eating up to much leaf propaganda.....
Kari isn't bad but he's not a better prospect then horvat.
The only player id trade for him is Luongo, but that's only if they threw in bozak and a 2nd.....

imo Duchene is one of the most overrated players in the game, I don't understand why they don't build around Landeskog/Mackinnon and just trade Duchene for an actual d man/ goalie in that age bracket
- Crazybagoham

Duchene isn't overrated. Everybody just rates people good or bad. He is probably more like Bo, agood 2nd. I don't rate him as a top 30 player in the league. He plays on a bad team, has for a long time. He has a career p/gp avg higher then Mackinnon. 250 games difference but Duchenes point totals have been dropping as the team gets pooptier.

That is why paying Bo 5.5 is nuts
- VANTEL

Not that I don't agree but people around here might wanna wrap their heads around Bo making over 5 mil per. Not sure on term but top 6, 50+ point C's are on average making over 5mil per.

Imagine if he had a winger to play with? 60 points easy.

Kadri has been a slightly more consistent point guy but with Horvat's current progression I think it will be clear that Bo will be the overall better player.

Duchene is just on a crap team ...he is a perfect example of what happens when you play with crap players and have no D to get you the puck ....if Bo ever turns into Duchene you should thank your lucky stars

Kadri is one of the many cautionary tales for pegging Horvat as the #1 C. Stats and production on bad teams can be very misleading

Agree. Do I think Bo is on a Bergeron pace? Not quite but it will be close. If he had proper support I agree he would be over 60 pts easy. Plus hopefully Green has him on PP1 this year which in theory should bump his points up.

He has to do it more than once ...do it with regularity then you get 5+....Canucks should get him at a very good cap hit imo ...and most here will love the deal

Good morning,

Thanks for keeping the home fires burning here - I've been busy!

Game 7 predictions? I picked Edmonton at the beginning of this series and I'll stick with them. The other game, I'm not sure. Very curious to see if Justin Williams can work his magic for Washington.

That and lots more in the new blog...

Neither are prospects....as much as I like Horvat, I'm just realistic in that I don't proclaim he's better than he is. He went the final 16 games without a goal and his ice increased quite a bit.

I do agree that he needs to do it more than once…but in today's world players that break 50 points even just once seem to get paid.
