My parents did as in "He made me so mad I could spit nickels!" Never used it myself but I'm only 52.

In that case it should go without saying. If she is on here she should expect nothing less.

Best sunsets this side of Key West.
BiggE can vouch for those.

I'll still be living in Naples, so these sunsets will have to do.

I'm 68, here every day but never post. I've spit nickles every time VandeVelde's blades touch the ice. Oh, and as long as you pick up your dog's poop, you can walk on my lawn.

If the Devils take Hischier, I think Patrick would eventually succeed Giroux as Flyers' captain. He brings a lot to the table apart from points.

Also, I think Patrick's offensive upside is getting a bit underrated. He's averaged 1.5 points per game if you combine his 17 y/o and 18 y/o seasons in the Western League. That stacks up favorably with most NHL impact offensive players during their junior careers. Even at age 16, he was a 30-goal, point-per-game player.

Add in his prowess without the puck. Then add his leadership potential. Prospects like this don't come around too often. If not for the injury concerns, I think Patrick would be the slam-dunk, no brainer first overall pick.

Hischier is be the flashier talent with greater pure speed. His WJC performance was an eye-opener, too. But also keep in mind that the Q is still the least structured of the three CHL leagues, that he will have a steeper learning curve in the junior to pro game transition (not all that different from what Konecny has experienced to date). That said, his training in the Swiss game, where there is big emphasis on the technical game and sound team defense has played into why he is NOT considered a defensive liability even if he doesn't project as a shutdown type.

Really trying not to hope for one over the other but you're sure swaying me towards Patrick with posts like this.

I know theres this whole who goes one who goes two, but to me its a no brainer.. Patrick goes to the Devils.

He is head and shoulders the best in the draft. Does he have an injury history? Sure.. he has had a somewhat sizable injury sheet, but a couple of broken bones arent concerning. He has had the hip and abdomen surgery to correct the Sports Hernia...

Two seasons ago he scored at a 1.41 ppg pace. This year (coming off the same surgery that saw G and Ghost struggle for a good bit) he scored at a 1.39 ppg pace.

I know a lot of people were talking about trading for Leon Draistl, but the more I think about it, the more he reminds me of a bigger LD. He isnt flashy, but he is so skilled and so smart that he plays an effortless game. He seems to always be where he is supposed to be, and always makes the right play.

Thats the guy I want. Im sure it has to be the guy the Devils want as well..

I'm also expecting Hischier at #2 but I wouldn't say Patrick is head and shoulders over him. Hischier was dominant in the world juniors without a lot of help. He gave the tournament champs all they could handle in the QF and did the same to Canada in Exhibition.
