Goals don't always tell the story. Having a threat on the point opens up space down low for backdoors and high slot guys like Nylander. - gravyface
Our pp was 2nd in the league.
We need to keep the puck out of our net. I don't think franson helps much with that |

I honestly can't believe Cody Franson is being suggested as a target. Thankfully, there's no way Shanny and the Lam are so stupid |

Draft the best player available.
Do not draft d cause you need d, that guy isn't gonna help for like 3 years min. |

you're absolutely right.
Leafs probably going for a forward at 17/18 anyways, since it seems easier to be right on a offensive prospect vs a defensive prospect outside of top5. |

They brought their A game and the Pens gave the puck away all night and the Pens still won. Might be a quick series. |

Just glad the Bhawks and Kings are out...uggg (frank) these triple dynasties.
Also, I don't see how the Caps can ice a better team next year. They have some really nice prospects, but they aren't ready to make big pieces that they will lose viable. |

Yeah looks like another Finals for them this year. No one in the east can beat them I don't think.
Not sure if anyone in the west can beat them either but oilers vs penguins would be a good finals for entertainment. |

I'll say it again.
Holtby is not making a difference for the Caps.
He's being paid like an all-star goaltender.... and he's not playing like one.
Don't get me wrong, just like against the Leafs, he's not terrible or anything... he's just not the difference maker you'd expect from a Vezina winner. |

I'm sick of the same teams winning but I also hope the Caps never win a cup now that I hate them after the Leafs series. (frank) every single one of their players. |

Completely disagree.
He wasn't better than Andersen during that series and he should have been. |

i don't think we watched the same series. andersen also had some bad games. he cost the leafs game 4 by himself with multiple stinkers, non as bad as the last goal though. |

Andersen was very average this series. There were times he was great, holding down the fort, but he whiffed on a number of goals. |

Couldn't even buy a save on the PK. It was embarrassing. |

Surprised they looked as good as they did yesterday. Not surprised at all about the Boston series. |

He's a good all-around defenseman.
"keep the puck out of the net": do you want Komisarek or Karlsson? Guy's who can get the puck back and move it up the ice "keep the puck out of the net". That's what Franson does.
22nd in Corsi Rel since he broke into the league full-time. That's a quality 4/5 guy who'd come for cheap. |
