Nashville drafted Josi by using the Leafs 2nd they got in a trade with Phoenix who previously got it in a trade with the Leafs for Yanic (frank)ing Perreault.

Edit: So if the Preds win...

Course he'll score a goal here or there.

Won't ever captain his side to a Cup though

Close. Buffalo.

He's like 22nd in the league in corsi relative since 2012-13.

He's a perfect fit for us, can play all situations, will be cheap, 6'5" all day every day, good puck mover for his size, great first pass, that low-clapper that always got through the point would be an upgrade over Rielly's floaty wristers on the PP.

Has he learned to skate? I recall he benefited by looking relatively quick in comparison to guys like Hal Gill, Colton Orr, etc.

Current roster's pace of play may be a challenge for Cody.

As long as he doesn't leave the D zone then he'll get by just fine.

Actually, we'd probably be better if he never entered the D zone....

Say what you will about franson but guys always get type cast or put in over their heads,he'd be better than hudwiener or Marcin, and (at this point )carrick r.h. 6.5 dman no.6 on the cheap, I'd go for that?

Underrated skater. He's not that slow for how big he is. Plus, he has a great first pass. He's not a rush guy, but pair him with a rover on the 2nd or 3rd pairing (Gardiner or Dermott/Nielsen) and he'll be effective.

Doesn't result in many goals for him though.

23 goals in 6 years.

Carlyle and Wilson could make Lidstrom look bad; playing with good players who have bought into a system like Babcock's is the polar opposite.

Look at how much better Hunlak looked in the second half of the year. Different roles, changing ice-time distribution, pairings, and situations helps immensely.

Goals don't always tell the story. Having a threat on the point opens up space down low for backdoors and high slot guys like Nylander.

It's above my pay grade! ,but I know they need a guy (big) preferably to clear the front of the net! They need to sign someone obviously, but alzner and shatty are going to get crazy contacts. ..no thanks! And I hope they don't rush the kids down on the farm but I'm pretty sure they won't?
