Not at all the same. Gif was not personal, you could say it was a poor attempt at humor, however, I did not make a general statement about you in the least. If you say, I disagree with you, I believe you are incorrect - that is ok. Referring to someone's knowledge, intellect or ability in general terms is something completely different. - winsix
taken out of context then, my fault..
Thought it was intended to be personal..
Also, Buchnevich is very talented and very fast. I wish the Leafs had him |

Considering the very limited role in which Vigneault used Buchenvich this season, and from what I saw in the playoffs vs the Habs.
He's going to be a pretty good player for the Rangers. Can't say about him reaching 60 points but it's not impossible I guess.
Oh and Nash's production is a shadow of what it used to be. But the Rangers are stuck with him because of his NMC (Which I don't see him waive to go to a (frank)ing expansion team that will suck for a few years). - Scabeh

Not much track record to back that up. Averaged just over 13 minutes a game - so you have a point there. For comparison, Connor Brown averaged about 16 minutes a game and scored at roughly the same level. But Connor Brown is not an offensive centerpiece by any stretch.

Connor Brown was an offensive centerpiece for the Erie Otters and the Marlies. |

Players can choose to waive them. But I only see that happening if the alternative is being bought out. Maybe a guy like bieksa waives, but i don't see it with nash. |

Leafs need d-men, they have lots of talent up front. Example Kadri - really a second/third line centre this year had 32 goals. Where would you put him, who would he replace?

Buchnevich is a LW, I would replace Matt Martin.. for one. Also, he would be an upgrade on Hyman
Kadri is a C. We need more C's. |

Junior as you well know is a different realm. Bruce Boudreau - in a much different NHL era - was a superstar in junior and still holds many AHL records. His size ( which was a factor in Brown going in the 6th round) was the reason Boudreau never made it big in the NHL as a player. In any event, Brown was a great pick up by the Leafs. I think he was like 140 lbs when Leafs drafted him.

Nash only has 771 points in 989 games. For a top pick, he's under performed for sure, but still over .7 points a game for his career. Buchnevich is a 75th pick that is a longshot at best to be a top performer - Clearly your ridiculous and unfounded assumption that a KHL journeyman will be a top performer is an indication of your disregard for track record. If you said Nash is past it, and will never be an elite forward again, it might accurate, we will have to wait and see. Thanks for the bolded statement. It is unfortunate when a fellow leaf fan lowers himself to insult another - but judging from the intellectual level of your avatar - your intellectual bank account is empty. - winsix

I'm not basing it on track record, I'm basing it on my own evaluation of the player... you know.... from what I've seen from him.
And 3 more minutes per game is a big difference for a player... and usually, the more you play, you end up playing with better player as well.
This being said, the more we see from Buchenvich, the more we'll know about him and his potential obviously. |

As someone who knows absolutely nothing about prospects or any other league for that matter, it baffles me that the leading scorer of the OHL went in the 6th.

It's not a guarantee...but Kirill Kaprizov looks like he might be the next Kucherov in "(frank)?! Why didn't we take him with our seventh 2nd rounder?"
What a beast...(frank) the Wild and their good prospect pool while also "contending." |

He wasn't the leading scoring when drafted...also he was -72...which had nothing to do with his play, but for some reason scouts actually care about +/- (see Dmitri Sokolov) even if they play on the worst iced rosters in junior when their +/- is terrible. |
