When I said he's not a fast skater, maybe I was being unfair. In my mind, I was comparing him to Leddy who can use his speed to overcome some of his mistakes/giveaways. But Leddy is REALLY fast, so it's an unfair comparison. - JohnScammo
Yeah can't compare many players to leddy when it comes to skating. Guy is one of the best skaters I've seen in my lifetime. |

I'm going to disagree. I think Hamonic just had a terrible season. The guy isn't that slow and he has always been a steady defenseman with a physical edge. I probably brutalize the guy more than anyone else but let's not forget he was a pretty good defenseman before last season. We have to hope he bounces back bcs he ain't worth shat now and trading him makes zero sense at this time.
He should have been traded when Snow had a chance but he's Snow. - Cptmjl
He wasn't great the year before and his "physical" presence is overrated imo.. |

I want the puck..i want dmen who can breakout out the zone clean... carry the puck and drive possession. if you have the puck you don't have to defend as much |

Kadri is a female genitalia, he hit low it was legal by 5 inches still a bad hit and then that dive was ridiculous and they both should have gone. I hate him as much as Marchand and gudas, hes like ribero too |

Don't get me wrong I'm not saying he's laying players out but he is one of the more physical players on the team. I know that's not saying much but that's the team we have and I'll be the first to say he was a complete abortion last season but we know he's capable of being much better. Who knows if he will but we better hope he bounces back bcs he isn't worth a helluva lot at this point.
I'm all for trading the guy as I was last summer but we aren't getting shat for him to the point where we are probably just better off hoping he returns to a decent form maybe with less ice time and a more limited role. |

Dan I think if you have 6 Leddys your missing grit and toughness. You need to have some toughness as well as puck movers to get a nice mix on the backend. Let's not forget how tough Hamonic was on Malkin in the series against Pittsburgh. There isn't a person on here that can disagree with that.
Travis isn't slow and he does bring the puck up ice and does have some offensive abilities. I think saying his toughness is over rated and he has no offensive abilities isn't fair at all.
I agree with Cpt. And think he just had a bad year which started with the whole team sucking and him not meshing with Leddy, and then of course the injury and there goes the season. Additionally he is the toughest dman on the team.
I will add that if he's left unprotected The Knights will snatch him up quicker than shat through a goose imho. Cpt and I probably differ on this. |

Isles to Belmont!? Would be great if they could make that happen. Too bad Nassau politics will hold it up for years. Weasels gotta make sure they get theirs first. Fans deserve better than Barklays! |

apparently the cosmos stadium was held up for four years there so they should just start at willets point too and the first one to accept wins. realistically thats probably a lot of money |

As a huge Hammer fan, i have to agree on the grade this year. I do believe he will bounce back next year, but i am becoming concerned with his knees. It's starting to become an annual issue where he misses a good chunk and tbh he might not be able to get back to 100%.
I am hopeful, but acknowledging that things are not looking terribly bright for him |

Meh, I don't know Ses, I believe you still need County and or Town approvals But I sure hope it's easier than the rub and tug Wang went through trying to get his project through.
The Cosmos stadium took 4 years to get a no. |

I would have said no to the Cosmos as well. No offense. I have to think anything would be easier than what happened with Nassau County. - ses111
Problem is Nassau County will be involved
Plus there are going to be other bids to develop the land and they may be for housing, retail etc. that may make more sense than another Arena in Nassau County in direct competition with NVMC.
I hope this gets done, and I could give a Shat if it hurts NVMC because the renovation that BSE proposed and built and NAssau County approved was an absolute waste of money. |

They should have spent the extra to fix it right and never let them leave in the first place. I hope the new colosseum fails |

True Upstate, and after they did leave the more reason for Nassau County to look for a partner that would fully refurbish the NVMC and not just the 165 million dollar facelift that imho was a waste of money.
They had it with Wang and they totally phucked him but at the end of the day they phucked themselves. Question is have they learned their lesson and or do they give a Shat? |

This thing never made sense from the start. They should have partnered with Wang to get something done. |

They don't care its the taxpayers money not theirs. They could have put that money towards wangs and had a great deal but it was too busy and all the other crap. This if/when it fails and has to be torn down will probably cost about as much as fixing it correctly but without a tenant and revenue. What a joke and honestly it's anywhere with everything, no one can ever agree to get anything done anymore cause God forbid some special interest group takes umbridge. This country has turned to poop its all or nothing with everything there are no compromises. Rant over and so are the wild |

I think he can bounce back and he still has a friendly contract. I think Hamonic would need to be in a package for a top 6 forward. - ses111
I think Garth could pull off a blockbuster trade if we give him another 10 years. I met him once and he smiled at me. Heck of a nice guy. Don't see any reason to rock the boat—just be patient. |
