yeah just hearing about how well Lindblom is doing has me giddy.

playoff Bob has shown up. Columbus had a very good first but the Pens woke up.

Seeing Letang and now Murray injured for the Pens points out that a team can never have enough talent on the back end. Which always makes me question why people are talking about trading our young D prospects, our position of strength, for some sniping Center/Winger. Two problems with that logic:

A.) We haven't had a chance for those prospects to prove themselves at the NHL level.

B.) Ironic how everyone wants to trade for that magical all-star forward, as if they grow on trees or something. Not to mention that teams don't give them up if they have them.

For once I would like to hear someone propose a trade, rather then just state we should package Sanheim and picks for "#1 Center". How about you start naming actual players on the other end of those trades my friends.

I know I might be in the minority, but I am extremely excited for this team in the upcoming years. I can't remember defensemen actually being developed in our system and making it to the show. Honestly, it is the common denominator with all the cup teams in the past. Even the 2010 Flyers had Pronger.

I believe the phantoms have clinched they have a point. And yes nastygirl they scored for the first time in 4 games against them lol

I really think the flyers could have all 4 next year. Sanheim only needed a year, and Myers looked better than hagg or morin in camp coming off an injury and has been labeled as NHL ready by some talking heads. They're all ready, they really are

I would be a little disappointed, but not surprised if hexy chooses to do very little this summer

I wouldnt be disappointed if he did nothing this season because I believe his move is going to be the rookies coming in at training camp.

Now say the same thing starting next off season and that is a different story.

I have a question for the room, even though this might not be the time to ask it. What is up with all the negativity, sarcasm, and constant buffoonery on Bill's blogs? I get it, everyone knows everyone on here and people have extremely strong takes, but what good does it do to constantly focus on the negatives?

I have been reading these Flyers blogs since 2009-10 and the constant second guessing and bashing of management has not changed at all since I started coming to the site.

If people are realistic, once you make the playoffs anything can happen, as shown with the Kings most recently and the Flyers back in 2010. Those teams weren't close to perfect, yet still performed well. I might be clueless, but at the end of the day is it always what the Flyers who have done wrong, which leads them to be mediocre? Or could it possibly be that other teams are simply better, by a wide margin, at this point in time?

We don't have the same talent level as most of the teams in the East right now, but soon we might with Meyers, Sanheim, Rubstov, and Hart. Hopefully at that time we can capitalize on the top teams falling off a bit.

Maybe I am just too hopeful for the future, but I for one will not criticize Hextall for doing what we all asked for him to do and build through the draft. I also think it would be a little much to female dog about the fact they aren't in the first round every year getting smoked by the Caps. Give and take, give and take.

Not trying to come off condescending or that I am above anyone. Also, really not looking to get chirped about the above post. I just was curious what the general consensus was? Obviously I think this blog's comments are great or else I wouldn't keep coming back, I just think sometimes the negativity reaches great heights.

I honestly wouldnt even bother trying to figure it out..

You have certain posters here that will do everything, anything and all things in their power to complain about the Flyers. Those same users like to claim their other posters that blindly support every decision the Flyers makes but in my opinion I dont see that.

In all honesty, EK is to blame for the massive loss of daily visitors. So many would still be here if he implemented an ignore feature. Many begged for it, he never delivered...
