So you're saying that without Willie, this masterful tank never would have been possible?

All praise Willie for getting us into this position.... tank nation, let's hear the chants to keep Willie!

And you're right any tiger..... he's not really making sense about this team.

Thanks Carol for bringing up the youth. So confused why there is this negativity toward them. Like all that is important is to get draft picks but not develop. Sort of like the pro life politicians who are all about making sure there is a birth but doing nothing to nourish the child.

So there is this belief out there that Nuck youth are no more then AHL players. Which means no use in developing them into NHL regulars.

So where do you rate Stecher, Goldy, Tree, Hutton, BB and Molino?

- Nuck4U

Without getting things in a tizzy here, it is important to develop youth. Where did you get that thought. They most definitely should be developed...in the minors where they belong

Who has said that? I think some people are just reluctant to claim that these guys are future core players without seeing how they continue to develop. Which makes sense considering what's happened to future "core" players here in the past...Hodgson, Kassian, Corrado meanwhile a guy who never got much hype in Chris Tanev turned out to be a core player. It makes sense to want more draft picks/prospects brought in to compete with these guys since not all of them will play up to their potential, that's just the reality of sports.

As of now, all of them are simply role players outside of Horvat which is perfectly fine.

- Nucker101

Without getting things in a tizzy here, thank you, thank very much, you seem to understand my opinions.

Glad to see you back.

Stecher, Hutton, Tram, BBhose, those guys are keepers. They have some question marks to their game, but a lot of posters have little patience.

Goldy, Molino, Boucher got LOTS more to prove. Ice time will be a big factor next year. Then there's youth like Megna, Chaput, Gaunce, those guys have been given plenty of time to show what they've got and haven't given us much to get excited about.

I think the biggest fear from most posters is that there's no sure fire star other than Horvat to give us some sense of optimism for the future.

- Brooks_Light

I agree, although I think Stecher and Hutton need more development in the minors, but I think they could have great careers, after proper development.

Are you calling tiger a liar?

Willie isn't the problem...... ten years of being great is.

For now nothing wrong with WD grooming the youths.
When we r ready to be a PO team thats another story for another day.
That said WD will be under the microscope as in loses the room etc.
Until there is a permanent type coach we need idk when the timing is best for WD to be gone. I see no panic to choose yet.

Yup... no rush.
To think the problem is just coaching.... is

Let him go when hrs losses the room or we want to compete... until than i see more successful development then ruined players.

Not joking. I need a good easy Chow Mein recipe. Takeout food here sucks

I will PM you. My grandma passed down a tremendous recipe to my dad that he occasionally makes. Takes hours though if you factor in cutting up and prepping all the Veggies. Do you have a Wok?

Tiger Williams called out Linden as a huge reason for the Canucks failure as a franchise. Said "he has no idea what he is doing, no experience". Applaudes Willy D, calling him a winner for getting results while have a sh*tty roster. Says FA and Linden both have no idea what they are doing lol

like 90% of the youth in this league should be in the minors and ride the bus for a few years to earn there way to the bigs, the nhl looking more and more like junior hockey.

For me its the timing & unless another coach is around that can ABSOLUTELY do better than WD with the kids there is no point in a change. So WD stays until something else hits the fan. Now i am not a Willie fan but my opinion atm doesn't matter if i want him fired.

The league has never been so skilled and fast, I disagree. I think it boils down to giving time to kids who truly deserve it, and not give every talented kid a pass at playing in the show because they had success in junior, or the NCAA. I think its all about giving kids opportunities if they deserve them, and that's it.

Tiger was never known to mince or sugar coat anything 😂😂👍
Now as for TL making him Prez was better than a GM. Doesn't mean it makes sense but hiring JB to draft & rebuild us was a pretty good hire in my books. I don't think a prez it was is hurting us since our drafting has seen its best run ever. So on that basis all is good so far. TL & JB both prolly decided on WD being Trev knew him in the Hat.
Idk who else was around to hire that was any better given our circumstances & finally the inevitable rebuild actually started.
