The cap shouldnt be an issue as the team will suck for a couple more years. Miller, burrows, hansen, sedins, edler all coming off this season or next couple.
Edler would be the sabres 2nd best dman. So i think they would want any help possible price depending.
Who do you think the flames take in the 1st? Or position should look to add. Have depth in goal and a young D core with a few prospects coming.
Outside looking in, id say probably a center cus Bennett is all over the place it seems in the line up. - mauryballstein
Yeah I kinda thought the cap wouldn't matter as long as you get good compensation for taking on that contract
Your right ...edler would be one of their top D ...Jesus
For me it's BPA ...if it's close then a RW...we have good depth everywhere else
Bennett has played most of the year as the 3C with a revolving door of wingers ...he's young and has played much better of late ...I'm not too concerned with him ...yet

Thanks Carol for bringing up the youth. So confused why there is this negativity toward them. Like all that is important is to get draft picks but not develop. Sort of like the pro life politicians who are all about making sure there is a birth but doing nothing to nourish the child.
So there is this belief out there that Nuck youth are no more then AHL players. Which means no use in developing them into NHL regulars.
So where do you rate Stecher, Goldy, Tree, Hutton, BB and Molino? - Nuck4U
Who has said that? I think some people are just reluctant to claim that these guys are future core players without seeing how they continue to develop. Which makes sense considering what's happened to future "core" players here in the past...Hodgson, Kassian, Corrado meanwhile a guy who never got much hype in Chris Tanev turned out to be a core player. It makes sense to want more draft picks/prospects brought in to compete with these guys since not all of them will play up to their potential, that's just the reality of sports.
As of now, all of them are simply role players outside of Horvat which is perfectly fine. |

Stecher, Hutton, Tram, BBhose, those guys are keepers. They have some question marks to their game, but a lot of posters have little patience.
Goldy, Molino, Boucher got LOTS more to prove. Ice time will be a big factor next year. Then there's youth like Megna, Chaput, Gaunce, those guys have been given plenty of time to show what they've got and haven't given us much to get excited about.
I think the biggest fear from most posters is that there's no sure fire star other than Horvat to give us some sense of optimism for the future. |

I wish Tampa had more cap space. I could see him following the foot steps of Ohlund and Salo, and retiring down in the sun, away from the media, while playing for a good team. I could Yzerman having interest if he had the space and the price was reasonable. |

That would be a nice fit. I highly doubt Edler waives but if he does it's probably for Florida or Tampa. I suspect many posters haven't visited Buffalo. I went to a Sabres game a few years ago and I still have nightmares. It is the worst place I have ever been and I have been to Atlanta |

I think Florida, Detroit and Ottawa are examples of places EDler would consider. Maybe even Toronto? Seems like aa good fit |

Megna/Chaput/Gaunce are all scrubs and will most likely continue to be scrubs, zero offense. Gaunce I guess is at least a big body and can be effective when he's physical, but that's about it. |
