4th or 1st, nothing in between right? Smart by Wilson. - golfingsince
By Benning as wel. Getting Goldy for Hansen was a good trade, getting that added in made it great for us. |

If he starts shopping him too early though, that raises more flags on him which diminishes value.
I'd rather work with him, as it could just be a maturity issue. The kid clearly has some skill. - golfingsince
That's probably all it is, just saying we don't know what goes on in the locker room. |

there playing possum, there experienced, there saving themselves for the long haul. - Bettmanhatesus
I was thinking the same thing. Sharks know the long haul from last season. Comfortable they had a playoff spot being so far ahead in the weak division they just took their foot off the gas. I've seen them turn it up and that is what a vet stacked team knows how to do. They are capable of firing it up like the Kings did in their run to the Cup. |

I wouldn't call it a great trade, i'd call it a trade with great upside. It certainly has it's risks.
You would think that Benning and his team of scouts would have known everything about the kid that we know now, minus his brief tryout with the Canucks. |

The Royal 22nd would disagree with you slightly on that one bud.
Perspective never hurts Vantel, give it a shot from time to time lol. |

So what are these Goldobin rumours?? - thundachunk
Talented guy who needs to learn to put it all together for the NHL game. Reminds me a bit like Sven. Just needs the icetime to figure it out. Isn't that the usual knock on these young guys trying to be regulars in the NHL. |

Sounds about right . My only recollection of seeing a French person fight when I lived there was when they were in a gang |

Cherry may be rude but he is not wrong when he talks about them.

I agree that you need a stronger brotherhood, but a couple of goons isn't going to change an entire team's mindset. They won't follow the Dorsett's. They're going to follow the Horvat's and Boeser's(hopefully) in the future. - Nucker101
Uh…right. Maybe not the 'goon' thing but guys who can actually play hockey plus goon it up when req'd?? Where would the Oil be without Lucic Maroon Kassian and even Larsson coming in there and providing almost a complete culture change. Sure McJesus is one thing but remove some 'goons' they ain't no 100 point club.
Horvat and Boeser will provide leadership yes but you have to have balance…and that includes 'goons' (of a certain sort) and a tough mentality shift. |

I'd call it a rebuild trade & it was a limited NTC.
We also eat 500k. Prospect & pick was about right.
If nothing else Goldy is good talent for Utica if he cannot figure out the NHL is a 200' game & not getting lost. |
