Gotta hit on those first round picks though....as well as the second round and beyond. Not to say he hasn't, but his track record worries me. - LeftCoaster
TOO early to worry IMO
Let it marinate & see where his build plan leads. |

UFA's can wait til JB decides the top 9 F's from what we have - Nighthawk
And probably a lot more potential horsetrading as teams try not to lose assets for nothing in the expansion draft or want to clear out cap room for resigning rfa.
Might not have to overpay for UFA at all. |

As long as Sedins are here you can't jump up 60 goals. Too much goes through them . They are waiting to be taken to the Glue Factory - VANTEL

A lot of concern on goal scoring recently. Based on trends observed. Let's take a gander at what we have Next Season in scoring expectations.
Top 9 regulars:
Sven - 20
Granlund - 20
Bo- 20
Hank- 10
Danny -14
LE - 16
Sutter -12
Hopefuls that could play during season:
BB- 15
JV - 9
Boucher 10
Goldy 9
Now some above may get more or less depending on injuries or what not.
So let's say Canucks get 20 goals from their D and 10 more from the other players chipping in.
Total from the group: 185 goals for next season. Doesn't look good does it. Unless a couple of the new guys are played a lot and have a super breakout season. But either way hard to see goal improvement without adding an established scorer. |

I see a trade frenzy post expansion draft to fill up holes and the usual cap moves.
As for pre-expansion draft many factors. Trades will be sell offs to teams that have protection space on the 7F/3D ratio. Hard to see Nucks buying as they are maxed on protection list. To add a regular top 6 guy and have to expose one of Sutter/Sven/Granlund is subtraction by addition.
Unless of course they do another deal with Vegas. Like a draft pick or send a Pedan or Subban to have Vegas not take that exposed player. This option might be more attractive to those teams looking to sell because of Vegas exposure.
So many scenarios. June will be nuts. |

Oh boy. "It's a mad mad world." He may have lost power forward status. Now what's he called.... - Nuck4U
Poor kid...he's still 208 lbs according to his radio interview and people are still slagging him. In my opinion he's the perfect weight now for a 6'1" frame. He may be a project kid now but I'm really hopeful he can become what we had hoped he'd be. |
