Yeah dude I've been to Tremblanc a few times. Full of lazy ass rich kids that ski in the winter and sailboard in the summer living off mommy and daddy's money .
I will pass on the listening to you if you don't mind
Rarely stands up for teammates, doesn't seem like a natural leader, he was apart of those Pit teams that were bullied by the Flyers in the playoffs. I can understand Gudbranson as a leader for the next wave, but not Sutter. He has the mentality of a role player and the talent of one as well. - Nucker101
Boeser will provide leadership you can tell that from the way he carries himself. But you do need a little meanness on the club and it can come in various forms. - LordHumungous
Totally agree on all accounts. Plus why I sighted BB as among future leaders of this team post Sedin era.

Not really, Maroon and Kassian didn't require a lot of cash. I'm glad they signed Lucic to that contract. - Nucker101
Value can be determined in a great many areas over time. If Edm proceeds to the second or third rounds in the next few seasons a guy like Lucic will have done his job…and to many will have been worth it.

Lucic is fine, he's a 20 goal 45 point guy who can provide a big can of whoop-ass if he wants to. Down the road it may not look that good but that's the cost of UFA's. They went from second last to a possible Division Title largely because of McDavid and Draisaitl, but it wasn't all them.

19 goals playing on McDavid's wing for a good chunk of the season, meh

Hate that line of thinking, let the desperate teams cripple themselves with those deals and try to find value in the secondary market. Just look at last year's big contracts given out, like 90% of them look bad already.

There's a big difference though, 1) they needed things to change there 2) they needed to take some risk 3) unlike 99% of the other teams they had a generational talent that needed some protection.
Obviously what they've done worked. Signing him in Vancouver would've just been another Loui Eriksson, a terrible signing.
