pretty sure they cant choose to expose a player with NTC. Player has to agree to any movement. - neem55
Only on a NMC not NTC. But it would be insane to expose Edler. |

I do think you trade him though, personally. while he still has value - neem55
I agree try to trade |

Pretty sure it still means Canucks are forced to protect Edler come draft day |

We were talking if Edler refused to waive expose him - VANTEL
Trades prior to expansion draft will only work for teams that can protect those players. D will be the hardest to trade. Most NHL D are older and not exempt. Plus most teams will be doing 7F/3D not 4F/4D protection. |

That would be another step back unless the intent is to trade him at the next TDL. He came back to win, Vancouver is not on his radar. - neem55

Not forced for the expansion draft. It's not a trade situation. That is why LE got an NMC up front to protect against the expansion draft and then cotract turns later to NTC. |

Oh really?! I really like Radulovl. I don't want to see him in a Canucks sweater but when healthy the guy is very dominant and has been a very solid signing for Montreal. I know this isn't a popular opinion, but a Canadian team winning this year is my preference, I'm cheering for Edmonton, montreal and ottawa. Can't bring myself to cheer for the Flames and the Leafs. Although Ottawa might not make it.
Edmonton has a legit shot in my opinion, they are showing just how fast 'culture' can change and just how effective tanking is.

You're correct. I still think it's a bad idea to expose him. As ive said many times: trade one of Edler, Sbisa or Tanev (in that order) for the best return. Keep the rest, keep stocking the cupboards. |

It's not luck if it's what all the best teams have all done. Toews/Kane/Crosby/Matthews/McDavid/Doughty/Eichel all come from the same tier of the draft. It's not rocket surgery.

They had a chance at TDL. Now JB might by trade one the entry draft if they don't lose Sbisa in the expansion draft. I don't mind if they trade all 3 if the returns are high draft picks and prospects. |

Thats part of it but not the whole picture....you also need a smart management team to surround those first round talents with the right players and also get a coach in who knows what they are doing....thats how you build a successful team....if you drop the ball on any of those things then its all for nothing...any idiot can pick a top player n the draft...takes real talent to make the rest work

Hey look at that, after.... what 20 years or so of mediocrity the laffs are on the upswing and the morons are crying out about their success. Good luck in the playoffs, son. lifetime
Speaking of abject failure, how many rounds of the playoffs has your team ever one in the playoffs?

I used to like watching the Canadian broadcasts more then these homer American ones. But listening to all the giddiness over the Habs, Alberta and Ontario teams is a bit too much.
Is it harder this season being a Nucks fan with all the Canadian clubs likely to be in the playoffs?
Well there is the Jets who couldn't find the coaching and goaltending to get there. Misery of two. Future of ......?!?

Wow 4 huh
Only 6 teams & 4 make the PO's & 2 rounds for the Cup.
Were there dinosaurs still back then?
Summary: since then fire was discovered & the invent of the wheel.
In modern times 50yrs of nothing is abject failure son.
