If the Flyers protect Giroux, Voracek, Schenn, Filppula, Couturier, Simmonds, and Weal, Vegas will have plenty of forwards to pick from:
Read
Weise
Raffl
Bellemare
Cousins
Laughton
But if might be smarter for Hextall to agree with Weal to leave him unsigned and unprotected, then sign him after the ED. |

Cindy is putting together an MVP season actually. You played a team that had 6 NHL regulars dressed....6. I was going to come say gg, but since the trolls are out, gl on the golf course.
By the way, another scumbag play by Simmond's to stick out his elbow on that play. Glad to see Dumo come back, but no need for that headshot. If Dumo doesn't come back, that's a suspension, and still may be.
Edit... you could say 8, but only 6 that are in the lineup if Pens are healthy. - Putty649
That's funny you have 2 defenseman on IR which means 4 of your NHL Defensemen dressed last night. And I count at least 6 REGULAR Forwards in Cullen, Kessel, Hornquist, Bonino, Kunitz and Crosby.
Yes the Pens have injuries but it's not as bad as you want us to believe.
Edit: The new Pens Blog even shows more than 6 regular forwards played last night. Rust, Sheary (got hurt during) and Wilson. |

Or a back room agreement for them to take Neuvirth isn't in place? |

vecchione watch?
I wonder if he thinks there's a fit here. Especially now with Weal looking good. Giroux, Weal, Konecny. Not much size it might not be the right fit. |

The bottom line is the quality of professional women's hockey is on par with an average male high school hockey team. If there were a professional womens hockey team in Philadelphia I would take my daughter to go see them. I could watch hockey at any level, I'm sure many of us would but it is tough to get the masses involved. |

I absolutely despise when social media become news. #Lazyjournalism
I cant contribute to the women's hockey compensation discussion as I've never seen one. But suspect that market price is probably lower than NHL due to demand issue. |

Frankly, we would not care about your team's infractions much, but this conversation was started by a pens fan.
It's fun when pen fans trot over here in wee hours of the morning to give us behavioral recommendations.
Hear hear. |

I deactivated my twitter earlier this year. As fun as I found it at times, the negativity can be grating. |

Any word on when Hagg returns? I'm not sure Wilcox is AHL quality besides Lameche? Not a lot of forwards back check on the Phantoms especially the career AHLers. |

Hagg is back. He played Saturday. They rested him Sunday due to his long layoff |

I agree and I would protect Raffl or Laughton but I would suspect they protect Bellemare to the chagrin of Flyers fans everywhere. |

I'd leave Raffl exposed. He's not very valuable on that contract. There's Raffl's out there every summer |

They have three games in three days this weekend, so I'm hoping Friedman will play in one of them. |

I won't be heartbroken if he goes, especially since the Flyers have a surplus of forwards as it is. I just think he's the most valuable of the bunch in terms of current ability. I think Laughton may have the most potential so I'd be inclined to protect him as he may be someone MCphee wants to take in spite of only being able to take 10 players without contracts in 2017-2018. |

have you ever seen the post on youtube under the Joe Mixon video? hiding behind a keyboard brings out a lot of vile people with points of view that just make me say - yep this is why America is how it is today....not to get too serious on a hockey blog |

I wasn't speaking about the equal pay argument though. I was just pointing out the tweets and the keyboard tough guy acts with regard to the coach. Half of these tough guys would mess their pants if they came face to face with the coach or the players they so quickly criticize.
Also, I guess Andrew MacDonald is the new Terry Carkner of this generation. |
