I agree on the Schultz situation, but then I would have chosen Del Zotto over Manning. Unless Del Zotto has some kind and minor injury, but hey, they won!
- MJL

I would have kept Del Zotto in but I wonder if they wanted a little more physicality against a big Wild team.

How about our "3rd" line center. 10 points in 10 games I believe. His line seems to be the more consistent line no mater who he is with.

Was happy with effort last night and it was nice to see them not mail in another road game....Honestly I get the argument about draft position, but I can't see myself ever cheering against them....I mean the draft is a crap shoot anyways.
I do understand why Hextall and Holmgren have both said recently that their a better team then their record. Nights like last night and the game against the Pens last week would give anyone pause, but its the inconsistency that's maddening and the real reason the core needs to be re set in my opinion.

- landros 2

If your core guys don't come out night after night and be your best... The result is what you see from the Flyers. I seriously can't remember the last time Giroux or Jake dominated a game, something is not right.

I think he wanted to give Schultz a game against his former team. His best year in the NHL were spent there. Thought it was a classy move by Hakstol to play him.

I agree.

I think this could be it for Schultz so it was classy.

A couple of my hockey buddies were asking me about Giroux the other night and that's exactly what they said....Giroux used to be the best player on the ice in 90% of their games .....like only 2-3 years ago.

In all honesty, if not for the power play success how much would you notice Simmonds?

Off topic, but did anyone see the video of Methot's finger , When the hell did Crosby become the crippler...The poop that guy gets away with is ridiculous...

This is why I think you can move Schenn or Simmonds...they have been the same type of player...I don't like to move either one, but I think as a package you could get something back that they could really use.

I have actually come around on Schenn. I think he is a little more skilled then Simmonds. And he is already on a good deal. My worry is Simmonds next deal. The one he is on is cheap for his production. I would look to sell high on him.

Methot will probably be suspended for bleeding near Crosby.

I understand.

Maybe I just think the Islanders will screw it up.

Didn't he break both of Giroux's wrists in 2012?

Exactly, andyou could also say Jake has had back to back disappointing seasons.
How many games have they been in and just couldn't get that big goal? They have not been blown out a lot, it seems when ever it is time for the big guys to step up and take control....they never do

Dubnyk was pulled for an extra attacker with about 90 seconds left. A gritty zone clear and feed to Voracek by Wayne Simmonds enabled Voracek to score into an empty net for his 18th goal of the season. The assist was the 300th point of Simmonds' career.

Hak said exactly that, but is MDZ less physical than Ghost or MacDonald? It was weird when Berube scratched dmen after playing them 20 minutes in the previous game, and it's weird now.

The teams around us all won, so right now the Flyers would still be picking 11th.
