I'm not disagreeing. My point was that chemistry matters. Who knows how Phil would've fit with Crosby or Malkin 5 on 5? If he works best in the 3rd line, put him there. - bgainesDM
It's also possible that they are playing him here to spread the talent around, rather than load up one or two lines.
edit: I don't know why I took this at face value and didn't look it up myself like I usually do. Kessel doesn't, primarily, play on the 3rd line at all. He plays with Malkin (who's currently injured) normally.

All this talk about Bailey again really?? I mean he has disappeared once again in the shadows of pressure. Point is he can not play in pressure games. He is better suited for Arizona Colorado or a team like that where there is no pressure. Once again I hardly hear his name. He is back to being Bailey. We need to trade him after this year. If JT loves Bailey that much that he wants him on his line then maybe we need to start thinking about Tavares too

Listen Jack He is having one decent season one. Does not mean he is a great player. It wasnt like JT begged JAck or Dougie to have him on his line. Personally Bailey should be on the third line. It will all be a mute point next year when he is gone or demoted to the third line anyway

Most of Strome's "bad play" attributes to the ineptitude of Brock Nelson's play this 2nd half of the season. Toronto is letting their kids play. Let's let ours play too. I've given up on Nelson but not Strome. You can swap Ladd or Chimera for the 2nd line spots if you want. - bgainesDM
Anyone else find it ironic that Toronto is in year two of a rebuild and the isles are chasing them for the final wild card spot?
Under Snow this team is like one of those restaurant impossible shows. A few tweaks here and there and voila you have a successful joint. This team has all the assets to put together a cup team. Its just not happening under Garth.
