Some stuff to discuss if you want if not ignore.

Next years roster.

Goalies : I don't think it makes sense to carry Miller and Markstrom at 9.6 mil per. To me it doesn't look like they trust Markstrom yet. I would try Miller at 5 for two years but would be ok at 6 . Next year he can play with Bachman as back up and the following year Demko.

Trade Markstrom and get that contact off the cap.

Defense: Who gets moved? To me I think it should be Tanev or Gudbrandson. The very first thing I do with Guddy is say look dude you are not getting more than 4 mil ( 500 K more than the current) . We can lock you in at 4x4 mil if not you will have a new address . I think you can get a nice piece back for either him or Tanev.

Biega and Maceneny as back ups next year might be ok as a stop gap. Draft a D.

Forwards: More positive than bad up front . It has mostlt been said many many times on here so no need for a novel. I do hope the Sedins request a trade though.

I thought I heard Benning say Markstrom will get a lot more opportunity next season, so I expect him to be the starting goaltender with perhaps a middling cheap guy to share the crease with him. But then again, Benning says a lot of poop he either doesn't mean or he changes his tune a lot.

I'd try and move Edler if I was gonna move anyone from the defence, I know the NTC makes it more difficult but not impossible.

The list would definitely be different now and it might be worth while to expose Marky. If traded I expect a Lack like return 3 Rd round pick.

To me I don't care if Edler or Tanev get moved because I don think next year will be a good year for the team. I think next year is rock bottom but I still think it will be close to this year. The following year I see upswing a bit.

Goldy is too young to be exposed, I wonder about Boucher and Cramarrosa?

That is a good question for Carol.

But to be honest if Vegas took one of those two that is a win.

Next year will be a glorious year with the end of the Sedin era....they've been great, the best Canuck players in our history and almost won a Cup, but it's time for change.

Not a Miller fan but it doesn't appear we have much of a choice. Agree Marky isn't going to be 'our guy' going forward so it's trade time for Marky. Bachman would be fine here as Miller will probably play 60 games if healthy and we really should not be contending for PO's next year.

Tanev should get moved…period. I like him but he is never going to be healthy here…why keep him if he is going to average 45-50 games per year? Tanev will get a good return now but if we wait…

I was one who really thought the Sedins retire here but after the whining from them post Hansen/Burrows trade I think they may be open to getting moved at TDL next year so we can recoup assets. Problem there is they may struggle to get to 40 points next season and that would suck…but if we have a coach here that would plant them on the third line and leave them there that wouldn't be so bad.

Gonna be interesting to be sure. Lot's of talk on Gaudette being an absolute steal…pumped about this kid.

Some very good points LH

I just don't like looking at them play anymore. Vancity was at the game against the Isles and said he could see their disinterest while he was there. I seen it too and I was watching it on tv.

I don't like watching them play but it our gold ticket to a high draft pick

That is why I say trade him for a top 6 forward and draft Foote as his replacement that should be ready very quickly maybe two years max?
