I feel like one won't play tomorrow for sure ...possibly two ...but both don't seem to be long term ...but at this time of year who the (frank) knows

We need game braking talent not wasting contracts on average players
- Nighthawk

Where do you see any of that...? This draft just seems full of pieces that could play a top 6 role or top 4 D but no more.

As for college guys yeah middle six is needed if a couple can be signed. Plus an offensive D specialist that could take a 6 spot.

Middle 6 from 22-23yr old college UFA's i doubt that.

Why would you say that? Plus plenty of younger guys there who didn't get drafted. If they want to leave and look like they have developed to have potential can't see why not. The NCAA has really improved its quality last couple years.

Also at very least a good college free agent brings depth and talent to Comets that helps with development and call ups. Canucks have had more luck with D and may go back there. But why not try forwards which they lack.

I don't post passed over 22-23yr old college senior UFA's for a reason nor 20yr old Jr's.
Seniors r not leaving early & few ever amount too much. My head isn't stuck in stats or size of players.

Except that every year more undrafted NCAA players make the NHL. It's a growing trend, which makes considering signing players much more reasonable.

22-23yr old college seniors playing only 40 games a year against 18-19yr olds r not standing out & r UFA's for a reason. 20yr old overage Jr's play a full schedule & usually become ECHL or AHL only types. There is a vastly larger pool of prospects in the AHL getting groomed to enter the NHL when ready at maybe 22-23yr old. Playing pro against pros is better competition.

Thank you Carol.

Kinda for everything.......Another fun, informative read. Taking the time to answer a question; and breaking a conception I had. (I had you pegged for classical or popular music) Hearing you would go for classic rock (in my day it was heavy metal), for your celebratory music, heck with with a bunch of people who posted music; it humanizes and speaks about people. (Yes, some were in jest, but there were a few that you played and could relate it to said poster)

My backup would have been Ozzy - Bark at the Moon.

No idea on who we draft.....Tons of posters are way more versed, and studied. As a casual fan in that department, Nolan Patrick has been talked about for the last few years...(I first heard his name at the McDavid draft) So if he's still talked about top ten, then he has some proven staying power............Maybe we'll get lucky and some of these other talked about go early and maybe he'll fall 4,5,or 6. (just being real).

Should we free willie? I think his hands are tied. If he had any real power, Sedins would be on the third line. If they had to sit as much as everyone else who coughs up a puck, they might not get off......not wanting them gone, they are Canucks.....just used more effective. When we are mathematically out, I wish we could sit them for the rest of the year......would make both sides happy (keep'em = strong healthy going into next season) (trade'em = same+ if they make some noise, value goes up) Then play the kids.....sign Boeser, call up Demko, Subban.....Sell us on the future.......It makes losing more tolerable.

Think that's what people have touched on.....now heres something funny

No quit on the Canucks. Patched together line up & working hard for 60mins.
Great sign of character. 2 3rd comebacks for loser points is killing the tankers๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

Pierre McGuire said Gaudette was the steal of the draft.
I don't know much about him, guess he's good.

If Linden hires Messier to coach this team, in any form, I will literally fly to Vancouver and burn all of my Canucks paraphernalia and eat the ashes.
