I'm firmly in the corner that you need veterans to insulate the kids, you simply cannot have a lineup chalked full of youth, that's a disaster in the waiting. That said, Eriksson's contract is ridiculous for what he brings to the table, money wise that is; he made 8 million dollars in salary this season and he makes 8 million again next season.

Then replace him with a vet at a third of the price.

My God this franchise needs some good old fashion luck to win a Cup, I sincerely hope they find some sooner than later.

Why is it teams like Pittsburgh and Edmonton have tons of it and the Canucks have very little?

He will be a 25 to 30 goal scorer next season and maybe the same in assists.

Too late, no one is taking on that stupid contract until it runs down in salary later in the deal.

Semantics....the fact remains they've won five Cups and they now have a generational talent to build around.

I like to think of it as keeping him honest and in line. But thanks for you're input!

Loui Eriksson will be fine and is a good versatile winger for our young centre's going forward. His history has shown he gets better with time , so give him time. In year 3 I believe we will be far better off with him then Edmonton and NYI with Lucic and Ladd.

The twins are going to have a better year next year , whether its for another contract or its a farewell tour , either way i see them going out with a better all-around year.

We have youth and good prospects that are going to push for spots next year and add in a D-man trade for depth and we might be a wildcard contending team next year.

IMO our biggest weakness this year has been an abysmal PP. if we can get that up to the 18-20% range we will see more wins.

As an example if we would have split the 9 game losing streak we would be in the wildcard right now.

The sun will shine again on the Canucks and it might be sooner then some think

Would have to agree here and dare I say it…LE needs a different coach as well. He's a garbage goal scorer that thrives on the PP with the right players.

now you're being facetious .
Buffalo won a lottery and has no cups but lots of top draft picks , so your method isn't foolproof
