I know it's a comedy skit, but if that's the case, he also cannot be happy about anything done where as I (assuming the person I voted for was elected) would be able to. Not voting and voting for the person who lost have the same net result, except that one party tried to make their voice heard and the other didn't.

True, I'm more of the mindset that our voice does not matter.

I see mods are deleting comments. Even mine saying lets not group each other and be Richards to each other. Oh well. Everyone better stop talking politics (even though most of us are saying reasonable things about not being rude to each other) or we'll be suspended.

No issues at all with the fight. In fact, glad it happened that way rather than Malkin taking slashes/borderline hits all night. They got it out of the way and moved on. They're all grown men and can handle themselves. If your strong enough to throw a high hit and nearly concuss someone your damn sure strong enough to drop them and eat a few punches.

I'm on the side that says if players can't back up borderline dirty hits this is when the violence starts. Guys start getting "nyquist'd".

You also have to look at the players. Malkin vs. Wheeler, ok. Malkin vs. Buff, not ok. That's a situation where if the previous games hit was reversed I'd expect to call up Sestito, fight, and sit the rest of the game. Here's your 15k check we'll call you next time. Keep settling it that way, keep moving on and playing hockey.

I like hockey.

I like to see goals scored.
I like to see goals almost being scored
I like to see goalies make saves on goals that were almost scored
I like to see good defense stop a rush that could have ended up in a goal scored
I like to see two players square off because they are upset with each other or a teammate immediately stick up for their line-mate

I don't like two players fighting because its their job.

I hate hits like the one last night that sent a man to the hospital.

What's your take on grown men hugging each other after a goal?

I like to see players stick up for a teammate by scoring goals and outworking the opposition.

Ok enough of this. We are giving the mods to much work. haha

I have an honest question, I really want to keep Dumo and Schultz. How can that be done within the salary cap and still add to other key aspects of the team? What kind of deals will they realistically ask for each? I think Maatta might need to be gone to make it happen.

Another question, Fleury is gone after this year. Best free agent option for a back up to Murray? I'd personally keep Jarry getting lots of starts in the AHL to help him develop.

Without the enforcer in the lineup it could have been worse. The Jets have their fair share of knuckle draggers so why no combat it. They might have taken runs and the Pens all night long Things seemed to cool down after Terrible Tommy struck

Something tells me that ryan might have been tuned up a few too many times in "semi-pro" house league he used to play in. I hate WWF hockey for sure but if 2 guys have a go within the context of the game let em. It's too physical of a game to turn the other cheek all the time.

I honestly don't think Dumo is going to be that expensive. Cap-wise - Letang at 7, Schultz around 4, Maatta a little over 4, and Dumo around 3 is what I think it's going to be.
