21st in points, garbage in possession. Doesn't play the PK. Yeah, top-30. - Blackstrom2
obviously you dont watch the games but the guy can catch anyone from behind (like from a zone away) creates offense and carries the puck into the zone regularly. the whole team was crap the first 20 games. he is a top 30 guy sorry pal. at least you have a #1 in shattenkirk but hes a turnover machine as any blues fan will tell you. hopefully he contributes to your yearly choke job although maybe youll get another one of these

2 points in 2 less games isnt a huge difference and they play on an offensive powerhouse as well as possesion, they are going to pick up points by that alone. Easier to do on a good team was the point. he plays against other teams top guys and some pk time too |

I think corsi stats are at time uesful for seeing where a team stands or how well different players on a team do raltive to others. But using them for evaluating players from different teams is not reliable. The caps are one of if not the best team in the league right now. All of there guys corsi numbers are going to be higher because of that. No shot Orlov or Niskanen has the same numbers if they are on an average team. They are nice players but I just dont see corsi stats for them being compared fairly to other players because those players dont play on corsi dominant teams. Not sure if that was part of your reasoning or not. 5v5 points is nice and all but to me I want my defense to be able to play defense first. Same reason I would value a Hjalmarrson way way over a Daley. |

Mr. Tanner,
I am impressed that you at least put a list out based on feedback from posters about a blog you made.
I disagree with a lot of things you write and I don't read you very often, but at least you had the guts to put a list up. Nice job. - jkumpire
I'm impressed he can count to thirty. |

thanks for mocking me wienerhead was probably a better way of showing his speed as an asset. you see the games the guy can outskate most anyone hes against and uses that to erase mistakes that are made by the team and negate breakaways or odd man rushes, he does it every game usually on their poopty powerplay. he creates chances and has great zone entries with possesion. |

First of all. There is no way that's pronounced "Shea" he's just trolling. Second of all he's not among the 30 best defensemen in the NHL. Maybe the Eastern Conference. |

Tanner, You once told me that Brodie, Sekera,Leddy, and Yandle were all better D-men then Roman Josi., Yet they fail to make your top thirty list(while Josi does). Have you changed your mind on Roman Josi? Or the others? |
