All of that for Duchene will end up being Garth's Luongo for DiPsh*t trade. Hamonic, one solid prospect, one draft pick. That's all I'd have for them. I'd rather try for a defensive center for a lesser price; that's what we really need- someone besides Cizikas who can win a defensive zone faceoff.

Duchene is a great player, but that's a lot to send back to a team that clearly either have no interest in, or no shot of extending him. Hopefully, the rumor won't be the deal. We shall see.

At some point they need to "go for it" and add a desperately-needed piece to this team. Duchene is a damn good center and he would add so many elements that are badly needed. You want a guy that can win faceoffs? He's it. For guys who've taken over 100 faceoffs this year, he's the best in the league. He adds speed, skill, and would be a guy who is easily a 1C playing as our 2C.

I love Hamonic and Pulock, but I wouldn't think twice about trading either in a package for Duchene.
