We should trade a 1st round pick for OEL and then after the playoffs trade him back for a 7th rounder. or something like that. |

or JVR to Wash for Bowey and Vrana - MaximusAurelius
Washington have the cap for that?
PROJECTED CAP HIT [The cap hit at seasons end based on the previous single day rosters and assuming the current roster remains the same until the end of the season] : $72,233,059
PROJECTED CAP SPACE [The projected cap space value is the difference between the cap ceiling and the projected cap hit. If the projected cap hit is greater than the cap ceiling due to long-term injury relief, the projected cap space is $0.] : $766,941
Nope. |

Never know once in the playoffs, it's a new season, all depends on match up and how healthy your team is. |

Yeah. Lets just ignore the fact that the Leafs are taking on 5.5 million of crap for 3 years on Orpik. And that the Leafs are sending Polak as well. Who is easily worth a 3rd at least.
That is a terrible return for JVR. |

I don't see them waiting around like Edmonton did. Then running out of time and having to trade Nylander for a 2nd pairing |

I'm going to take off...I feel like if I stick around and disect and argue everyone of Max's trades, or anyone elses, I'm going to become really hated around here to the point I'll earn myself a UG lifetime ban. Thing is, I just can't help myself, so this is probably for the best. Be back if another trade happens. |

Washington has 3.4mln in deadline cap space.
So freeing up 1mln, they could afford JVR. |

Jvr isn't worth much more than what Washington paid for oshie imo.

I'll have at least 15 more in the pipeline.
Basically comes down to selling JVR high for help on D (or top end prospects), and Gardiner ++ for Landeskog. |

Western road trips are tough. I am not optimistic unless Marner and Bozak return. Only wish Bozak to return so other awful center does not play. |

Well, that's fine... perhaps Washington can make the stupid trade give us 2 top prospects for jvr straight up.
I'm not going to hold my breath waiting for it.

What I'm getting at is you don't settle for trading JVR for a mediocre return. They will be looking for a replacement for him if they did trade him. They need JVR
They just need a top pairing d man even more. And if a team isn't willing to give up an established one. Then the Leafs aren't trading him |
