Eberle is basically Okposo. They should have just re-signed him if they wanted that kind of player. That's terrible asset management if they start giving up good pieces for Eberle. If they get him for peanuts, fine...but if we start moving major assets to get him that's (frank)ing terrible. - eichiefs9
hamonic straight up or idk not pulock, not barzal. idk why im so keen on keeping them as they arent proven commodities and eberle and duchene are, eberle is a 60 point player as is okposo like you mentioned. couldnt afford to keep him i guess so we paid badd his money

I wouldn't trade Hamonic for Eberle ever. If Snow does that I'm going to lose my shit.
weren't you about that earlier in the year? someone on here was, they need d and dehaan isnt getting it done. maybe him plus but whats the plus? - Upstate_isles
I'd move Hamonic, not for Eberle though. I've never been a supporter of that one. THAT is a move that reeks of desperation, as far as I'm concerned. Hamonic's contract adds a ton of value to any deal.
Unless EDM is retaining 50% of Eberle's salary I see no reason to even consider a move like that.

Wouldn't Edmonton have to take salary back in an Eberle deal? With Eberle signed two more years at 6 million per, I wouldn't give up that much. Like you said, at that point, should've just signed KO...

youd think hamonic would be of value to Colorado but not with 3 other pieces, if isles make a move its for eberle or duchene to me

Yeah I probably wouldn't even do Hamonic for Eberle with 50% retained, but I'd at least have to think about it. If that happened (it won't) we'd have to land someone else.

Sure, you can deal Jordan Eberle for a first round pick (bad) or you can deal him for a couple of mid round prospects (even worse),

Still think I'd rather get a legit #2 center than a wing. I know that Bailey isn't a quality first line winger (even though he has played like it at times this year), but their scoring depth isn't exactly great. Barzal can be the future 2nd line center, but wouldn't mind him starting on the 3rd line.

I hate the idea of another softy Nelson type player in Eberle.

Folks..my sources tell me the Ottawa Senators are looking to land either Duchene or Vrbata. #Confirmed

I agree. You can live with Bailey on the 1st line for now.

This is why I think Johnson would be a good fit. RH shot, can be 2C for now, and then shift over to wing or 3C if/when Barzal is ready to take over that role.

1:40 mark not much new but tsn boys - Upstate_isles
Interesting that they even mentioned Hamonic. I'd trade him in a second for Duchene.
Not everyone will agree, but I'd trade Pulock too. The rest of the package would have to make sense obviously, but I would most definitely include Pulock if the rest was reasonable.

Multiple sources in the NHL are telling me the Lightning are not done. They're still working the phone to look at trade possibilities.

if it were him or barzal id trade him, his shot on the pp is what id miss the most. well what I think would be the biggest loss, that would really help us become dynamic but so would duchene
