Calls are missed on both sides, Avs had poop luck being on the other side this test and I'm sure sabres have been the benefactor of the other side too.

It happens time to time

Interference is alive a well in the NHL, and it's worsening the product. Sh#thead refs were clearly afraid to make the obvious correct call on those two late plays against eichel. On the last one the refRichard was literally 3 feet from the trip

im not disagreeing but I just refuse to get upset at Reffing in this league. It sucks, but how is being rattled about it going to change things?

It sucks and can be a gut punch watching your team but being upset at Refs doesnt change the fact that they suck and bring more harm than good to the game

I've Been a spectator on hb for a while now and I feel it's time to join the conversation. This team has some major flaws and it's noticeable almost every game. The frustration is real. Something has to change

Last summer I was telling anyone who would listen that we would likely regress this season. I took a lot of flak on here for that take, but I see that many are now seeing what I saw.

GMTM doesn't know how to build a team or a coaching staff.

He has squandered far too much of our prospect pool and cap space.

Barring a major shakeup I really don't see us being much better next year either.

- Losman

How have they regressed? They need 9 wins in their last 20 to equal least year. Their PP is deadly. PK sucks. They lost their best player for 20 games. That's equal to at least a handful more wins. They're at least tied with Toronto or in a wild card spot with a healthy Jack.

Prospect pool? We won both of those major trades. Kane and O'Reilly are the best players in those trades. They're both young and have many, many NHL years ahead of them. You want to hold on to prospects forever like toy cars on a shelf?

Fix the damn PK, plus a healthy Jack, add a defenseman or two and this team is in business.

[insert homer excuse here]

Speak up, lurkers. We shouldn't be happy with either of our sports teams. Be vocal. You are SUPPOSED to criticize that which you love. And when you aren't happy, make it be known.

Especially when we have to watch Toronto tear up the standings 1 year after tanking with grace.

The best thing I learned tonight while watching the game and reading the comments was that there's apparently a way to win a new iPhone 7 via Facebook, at least according to the ad redirect I received 4 straight times.

Knowledge is power, I guess.

If you do the math from when Eichel has been back, it equals like 2 more wins tops.

Why the hell would the Rangers trade for him when they can sign him and only have it cost money after the season?

Desperate GM's are crazy.

Math?

I'm talking about a healthy hockey player who happens to be our best. HIS stats are one thing, the psyche of the entire team with him in the lineup is another, and he makes others better. More wins.

they have the chance to move out cap space that might be on the books next year to help sign him.

I bet they throw Kevin Klein into the deal. Useful but it gets 2.9m off the books next year for them. Something like that

That means the Blues are going to take back whatever they can get for him because they're going to lose him for nothing?

Sometimes, the added cap space by a player leaving is a good enough reward.

- kingcong39[/quote/] what I'm getting from this shattenkirk is being a little bum hole and GM don't want to pay for a guy that's going to leave so the only team he can go to is the Rangers and they have all the power

Our record without Eichel compared to with Eichel isn't a big difference. We've been around or below a .500 team all year

Only difference is we score more because Eichel is awesome

But the cap space is only as good as what you can spend it on. Outside of Shatty. There is nothing worth spending over 5m-6m on a Dman this year.

Would you spend 5m-6m on a kulikov deal? Alzner is a ticking time bomb and should stay way from as well since hes asking for that sort of cash too

Finishing ahead of where we were last year doesn't mean we didn't regress. That's a bizarre concept, I know. But the PK is terrible, like you said, the D worse, without whipping boy Mike Weber, Bylsma cannot make any kind of adjustment other than juggling lines. And aside from Eichel, who's on pace for 70 pts over a full season this year, no one has made the leap that we expected except maybe Kane and Lehner.

It was playoffs or bust this season. I don't care for the excuses anymore. This team should have been hovering around 8th all year, especially with the parity in the East and despite the Eichel injury.

We have a $10,000,000.00 fourth line, for f u c k ' s sake.

Just because they have cap space, doesn't mean they need to spend it right away.

There are plenty of one year value signings that can be made until the time is right as well.

They took a hit to start the year. The expectations were high. Don't think for one second it didn't affect his teammates.

People were ready to commit suicide on this site. Imagine how his teammates felt. It took the team awhile to get going. They're a different team now. A whole season of that makes a difference.

The ankle won't be 100% until next year, also. He's not going top speed.

Good point here. Watching TO this year has been tough. Maple leaf fans are the most undeserving mafs around and yet their team is performing 🤔

The PK is atrocious. The D is bad, outside of Risto and McCabe, but with a solid outside addition and Guhle, it improves drastically.

A quarter season loss of your best player isn't an excuse, it's a fact that it affects EVERYTHING.

Not a Bylsma fan.
