That's the big piece. At this point, if he will sign you get it worked out. If he won't then let's go shopping. Not sure I wouldn't target a defender first and foremost, but can't say RNH isn't a very good hockey player.

Sure, but I can't imagine GMTM hasn't asked if he's open to it. If the answer was no, you move on from him...if he says he's open to it, you attempt to do it over the summer. If that falls through you can always trade him over the summer as well, right?

I wouldn't move him for another forward though, much less a guy like RNH. Thats no disrespect to him but you give up a relatively valuable trade asset for minimal gain by doing that sort of deal.

If that knowledge is there then wait for the overpayment or sign away. That's good news, not sure how I missed that.

Valimaki is who I'd want. Left shot D, he's a Finn (I think we have one other ) and has put up some big time points in the WHL.

If you have him, Guhle, Borgen, Martin (maybe), Nelson (maybe), Fitz and Florentino (maybe) all with NHL potential, methinks we would have something to work with. Still like to get another addition, but all of a sudden we don't necessarily need it yesterday like we do now.
