If you look at the Sabres core: Eichel, Reinhart, Risto, Okposo, O'Reilly, Lehner, Kane and the core during the Briere/Drury days what is the difference besides Kane, the power forward who can score and forecheck 2nd to none, but many want to to trade and Risto, there was no offensive D then and WTF did that get us?

If Kane were to be dealt that forward core goes back to a soft pu$$y playing squad we are used to. The Sabres might have to shake up someone else in that core and Reinhart might be the one.

Campbell? The emphasis on power forwards isn't the same anymore. This games all about speed these days. I'd move Kane before I move Reinhart, if nothing else because of contract situation.

Wonder what the price might be? He did have a spat with them in the past, maybe he doesnt want to be there and Yzerman knows it. Hes a rfa after this year. Not like we havent gone all in on someone like that recently either. I would make the call if i were gmtm.

Love the pu$$y, soft-core point (tee hee). I really wAnt Kane to be here long term cuz him and Foligno are our only real tough guys who can actually play.
I also think moving Sam is a huge mistake...would alienate Jack and Sam might be our smartest player. Don't rush the rebuild...addressing the D will take time and hopefully TM picks his spots without moving the young talented pieces we have.

would you accept that offer for Reinhart? the scrap parts deal only works when the player wants out or is playing poorly. Neither is true of Drouin anymore. If not Reinhart it would probably have to be Nylander.

Well, then move along.
Sure, love to have him here, but not making a sideways move to get him.
23 for him is a step down in my opinion...Sams D game, ability to play C, and his net presence is too good to sacrifice.
If we have to add a pick, not our first, the do it.
Ennis clearly doesn't work in this system, but he has scored 20 a couple of times...he just needs to go to a different system. I know his stock has fallen considerably, but that is what the "+" are for.

Gotcha. I honestly don't see the issue with swapping LW with RW, how hard can it be? It's literally doing the exact same job but on a different spot on the ice.

Very tough. Not doing it.
The Kid has 25 goals in the NHL. We would be betting on futures here.
Kane's has done 20 multiple seasons, plays a great checking game, and is tough as hell.
I sure has hell am not giving up more for him, and doubt I would do it straight up either.
Again, not sacrificing this team to bring him in. It works or it doesn't.

I wouldn't even trade kane for Drouin, nevermind adding to it... Kane is 10 times the player Drouin is at this point in their careers.
