As a kid when I misbehaved my father used to make me sit in a closet, in the dark with the door closed, for 10 or 20 minutes.

At school, when we misbehaved my teachers used to make us stand in the corner next to the coat rack and put a coat over our heads so we couldn't see.

These days, when kids struggle with their work they get "enrichment" and "support" and "accomodations" and "independent plans." In my day they got sent for "industrial training."

I'm not saying it was a better time. I'm just saying "mean" is something you don't know anything about.

IMO the sabres deadline goes like this:
Trade 77 & 6 for 2nd or 3rds
Then uses either 28 or 82 with 2nd or 3rd to obtain a (4/6 pairing) D man under contract.

Still dont lose UFAs for nothing and can fill a hole to continue a doubtful push

I would take a look at Brandon Davidson of the Oilers. He's a left shot d that could jump into our top 4 right now. $1.425 through next year and then RFA. The Oilers are looking for a 3rd line C (Girgensons). Fills a need for both. They were actually just talking about it on the local (Edmonton) sports radio. Davidson is quietly a very solid dman who is only 25. The Oilers will have to expose him in the expansion draft.

I don't think Manson is top 5-6 in terms of their defensive players/prospects. He seems to be a defensive liability in the last few games as well. He loses his man coming out of the corner leading to goals that either tie or take the lead.

No. Currently they seem to be content with what they have. No real standouts. But a lot of solid players (Sekera/Russell, Klefbom/Larson, Benning/Davidson, Gryba, Nurse). They are more concerned about their forward set up. They love having McDavid with Draisetl. Nuge centering the second line, but that leaves them a C short as Letestu slots in better on the 4th line. For the sabres, when larsson is back, we run into the problem again of where do you put Girgensons. He just doesn't seem to fit here anymore. Larsson is better at his role than Zemgus is.
