Was there ever any Doubt ,well on this board there was as always . Coyotes have played well of late ,and have a fast young team that are playing without a care .And will be a strong team in the future .Nice to see Rozy with the winner ,he seemed to play better after getting that monkey off his back and settled down a bit . Kane nice Hatty ,that line looked swell . Schmaltz with another strong game . Hope Hammer is ok ,to bad Hino had to sit . Team looks balanced and ready . Big game Sunday ..GO HAWKS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! - oldduffman
I'm most excited about Schmaltz. Some guys just have "it", most guys don't. Schmaltz does. Another soon-to-be star added to the Hawks' collection. |

The real concern is that we gave up 3 goals! We gotta win every game 7-1 like the great championship-less Capitals! - teh_HAWKZ
The five day layoff was a convenient reason for teams lacking sync and not passing well bad timing etc.
rozsival had a five week layoff and it showed when the game started, screening Crawford and getting blown by on the next, and then he gets the game winner.
It was clear they dressed seven because they were pretty sure Hammer had a pull or soreness and after six shifts couldn't go.
Anybody trading Shmaltz for a rental, or an imaginary available now Duchense?
I am not... |

Ya know what - you may be right - because it's those areas that will lose play-off series.
My preference is to analyze this team and try to figure out where they are. Right now - scoring a lot and scoring balanced (for the first time in 2 years) and using that to win a lot of games - but giving up way too many for my comfort - too many defensive breakdowns that Crawford is not covering up, like he was before his surgery.
I would guess the coaches view the game more like I do - but - maybe I'm the outlier, so....
But - I'm tired of saying things using facts and logic - but not getting facts and logic back - just "you're too negative". Enough. - StLBravesFan
I gave you facts. And logic. Go back and read my posts again. Other posters presented facts too. |

These college kids can't adjust to the size and the speed of the NHL game. The time to trade Schmaltz is now, before his performance plummets as we all know it will. Trade Schmaltz for a proven veteran like Vanek. |

Why not just trade them all for draft picks? Think of the glorious cap space we will have! |

Not sure if anyone else has caught or posted this. If I am not mistaking,
Toews first 39 games-22points
Toews last 13 games-22points
All of a sudden he only trails Kane and Panarin on the team. What a stretch by him. Keep it up.
Another 6 goals. Feb. has been a good month. |

IMO, He has always been. Maybe for a stretch he wasn't before his time away but his problem was in his head. He was thinking way too much instead of just playing.
Toews was a classic example of the cliche fighting the game.

Thinking of trade targets, I wonder if stan has kicked the tires on Boedker. 27, speed to burn, 3 years at $4 mil. If he could get wilson to eat even 25% of salary, that is cost effective. Having his worst year in SJ. Change of scenery may be good for him. Early morning thought |

Nice to see the HAWKS players laughing and joking on the bench even when the game was still tight ,glad they don't take themselves nearly as serious as some on this board do .The smiles were really there after Rozy goal, you can tell the players love the guy . . It's still a game and you gotta have some fun .Team is gaining confidence by the day ,and that is a good sign .. GO HAWKS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! - oldduffman

Another win last night and they finally won at home - first time in a while...good thing with the Blues and Pens coming up.
Wonder if they made any progress yesterday with the Yotes mgt. regarding Hanzal... |

Philly isn't using Gordon because FO is all he can do.
FO is way over-rated. To me, its more about when you win them than how many.
Bolland was the perfect example. Get to the last 5 minutes of a close game and I bet his % was much higher than his career average. - TTtime
So you mean FO%, which I agree with as being overrated.
But if when you win them is important (and where) which they both are, high% guys are a good to have.

Late in close games, defensive zone, yeah, they do matter. A lot. |

Even at $3 million Boedker isn't earning his contract. Hard pass. |

What if a potential target from the Coyotes is Mcginn? I know JJ said their has been interest in the past - ikeane
Have not heard it lately, and his stock seems to have dropped this season. |

And just in case there was any doubt, #Blackhawks announce Hjalmarsson won't return tonight.
 - Marlowe
And there's your answer to why Rozy is playing. Sounds like they knew Hammer had a back issue going in.
Oh by the way, that is not good news. |

Then by all means let 4 sit for a while and heal up. Kempny and Forsling can get extra reps. |

Too much money for McGinn, decent enough player but having a poor season. Limited ice time last night.
Tobias Reider would be a better target. |

If 4 is out for some time, they are in big trouble. 32 and 51 were disastrous last night, and cannot be relied upon against any decent NHL team.

Not ones that are constantly and consistently negative. It's nonsense.
I like people that are critical.
You are OVERLY critical.
You go out of your way to pick and find certain stats to be worried about, even when the team is playing well. And I've never once seen you list a compliment or something positive. Not once.
Gets old. - SimpleJack
Please read, consider and read agin if necessary.
There's a difference between disagreement and attempted censorship.
If you disagree with his point of view, give him a factually supported counertargument. Don't tell him what he can and can't say. Don't assail his character.
I see a lot of factual support in what he says (agreed with or not). I hear you assailing his "negativity."
You complain about bans like you're a victim. Figure it out.
ANY point of view on the game or the team is welcome. Supporting it with facts will help your cause. Assailing the poster or their tone is not. Gets old. |
