BB looks like a good chance for a dinger.
Gaudette is intriguing to say the least.
OJ could be that PP QB we have lacked for years.
Who do u see us picking for a home run?

You know what's hilarious? This this is the unrealistic polar opposite of what Farraro said.

If the process would've been different it would've changed picks imo. Luck involved though, duly noted.

I honestly have no idea how Button still has a job. He hasn't got a (frank)ing clue about anything

On the contrary Booner, I thought it thru just fine! My premise is Benning made a wrong decision from the get-go, his decision to try and compete was incorrect, which has been proven right.

He should've, as I've stated, tried to build thru the draft immediately when he arrived. We all saw the team was done. NTC's and contracts have little to do with 1st, 2nd & 3rd round picks when you expect them to take two to three years to develop, or longer. We're talking about two years ago, 90% of those kids from the 2014 class would still be developing while current contracts run out.

And don't tell me you can't ask guys to waive, you can, and he did.

- LeftCoaster

He can ask. With the Sedins, you may think it's an unknown if they are willing, but I highly doubt it's an unknown between management and the Sedins. People act like the GM is as in the dark on everything as us because we havent been bfiefed bt the media about it. It's just as bad as those people who don't have to run Canuck practices and have a close eye on players and chemistry to make line up decisions from their armchair.

People forget that the Canucks still needs to ice a team while we wait for the Sedins to retire. We've kept our own first rounders. JB says he not interested in trading away anymore 2nd rounders. We just keep going back to this big blunder you are over playing. The Canucks need time. I'm being patient and not second guessing everything. I guess seeing it coming before Gillis was fired helped me prepare for it.

He said the Canucks shouldn't have picked Virtanen at 6th overall

I was all for Ehlers but JV has speed & size & can punish ppl.
I can wait on him though we missed out on offense stings a bit.

Just a point of view on my part as I enjoy bantering back and forth on the team. To put it in the absolute simplistic form, I think Benning (frank)ed up from the get-go.....and I'll never change that opinion.

I think you can, or could've, I do think they're impeding the process though. If you tear it down around them (2014) you can't tell me just the two of them make you a good team...they don't.

This conversation started around me stating what I think they "should've" done when Benning arrived. Just to circle back and keep it on track.

- LeftCoaster

That's pretty unrealistic though. Again, teams just don't do a tear down coming out of a decade of playoffs and just winning elite player trophies etc... tear downs are still a high risk for owners as well. Some teams go through a series of teardowns before getting it right. Should've conversations are great when we ignore everything that is playing into what's happened recently.

Interesting rankings. Nighthawk will like how Cody Glass is rated, don't think Vantel (nor do I) ,like the fact that Ratcliffe probably won't be around when we select in the 2nd.
Boonerbuck warned me about that a couple months ago, but I continued to hold out hope.

I don't think it's unrealistic at all, is it a guarantee, of course not, but it's not like it hasn't been done before.

Teams do a tear-down when it's time, when you have the foresight to know it's time, your record has nothing to do with it, at least it shouldn't.

Benning is doing just fine.

He has been here 3 years , he has Tryamkin playing in the NHL on regular shifts. Stecher looks like a steal . Boeser looks like he will be ready to step in next year . He added youth Sven and Markus. He may have a few surprises with Lockwood Gaudette and maybe Brisebois .

He drafted a very smart Dman . He gave us a better fourth line than we have had in years Dorsett Gaubnce (Gillis pick) better than Sestito and who ever .

There are six players remaining still since he arrived and 3 of them will be gone by next year maybe more .

He has been very active.

- VANTEL

Benning keeps refusing to win the lottery and even worse, the fkn idiot decided to slip down in the draft last time. How the (frank) will we ever get elite players in the draft if Benning hates winning the lottery?

Toronto held onto their draft position. They really do have their head on right.... when was the last time they decided to fall in the lottery? They keep their second round picks as well. They'll a move 1st rounder for a vet keeping those 2nds for the rebuild. That is outside the box thinking. We could learn a thing or two...

That was after they picked him, he said it before they picked him. Maybe he saw Virtanen's lack of hockey iq.

I'd use the word "unrealstic" like I did. We need to pass TDL to know any of this.
