Same poop, different coach.
This team needs to change some of its core.
Like most of it. - WaterBoy
of course, MT wasn't that bad and CJ is not that good. different voice for sure but at the end of the day they need more talent up front, mostly at center.
a bit more size. kids get tired at this time of the season. every year it's the same thing. don't they learn from the past?!?
they have 4 legit top6 forwards... |

And Gallagher really hasn't been a top 6 at all this year, even when healthy he seems more destined to be a good 3rd line player |

not his year no, but overall yes. 20+ goals scorers don't usually play on the 3rd line. |

Top 6 forwards: Pacioretty, Galchenyuk, Gallagher, Lehkonen(soon), Radulov.
3rd line forwards: Danault, Plekanec, Shaw, Byron.
4th line forwards: Mitchell, McCarron.
AHLers: Andrighetto, Flynn, DLR, Farnham, Carr, Terry.
Unsure yet: Hudson, Scherbak.
Top pairing D: Weber
2nd pairing D: Petry, Markov
3rd pairing D: Beaulieu, Emelin, Pateryn
AHLers: Nesterov, Redmond
So unless Bergevin gives up the farm for both Duchene and Shattenkirk, Habs are not a contender... unless they acquire a partner for Weber and the third liners all play above their skill level for an entire two months.
Oh ya , my blog is up too! |

I would agree with the above. except for Hudon. we know he sucks.
and since Lekhonen is still a 3rd liner, they're currently missing 2 top6 forwards.
they only have 1 asset that could help them fill the holes.

They only have 1 asset that could fill those holes with a superstar player but they have a few pieces, especially if combined, that could bring in a top 6 F or a top 4 D... But if they don't fix what's ailing them internally soon there's no point in trading away any |

yep. Plek, Beaulieu, a pick and a prospect could bring something decent.
then you move the asset, during the summer, to fill the remaining holes. |

I see it every night in my dreams. just have to give a better pick and prospect.
actually, that's the key. they absolutely need Plek's cap space to give it to a real top6. |
