To be fair, Komi wasn't the worst player ever, but not close to worth it at his cap hit. If he'd been paid as a third pairing/7th dman I wouldn't have had a problem with him, but that's what happens when you go crazy over free agents.

Even Martin is a bit overpaid, but I actually like him on the team. In a limited role he's actually a decent player and adds something to the lineup.

With Lou in charge, and Shanahan on top of that, I doubt you'll see anyone over the age of 24-25 come onto this team anytime soon, and definitely no Clarkson types for big money; primarily because they're waiting on the rookie contracts to come up for renewal.

Solid bounce back game from the boys. That penalty shot call was so weak, I was afraid it was going to adversely affect the team but they played their game and got an excellent team victory. Much much better effort.

Lou likes his vets.
If the player is right, no matter of age, Lou will bring him in.
