I don't know, I wouldn't hate Justin Williams here on a one year deal instead of Jagr. I feel that would give the Sabres a legit top 9. If Nylander isn't ready, Carrier can get some games with O'Reilly and Okposo. I personally think Carrier has looked the best of Bailey, Baptiste and Carrier.

Bailey with his time playing with Okposo and O'Reilly is looking like a formidable line. I think he has more offensive talent and more speed than Carrier. Keep Bailey there and give him more experience and see if he deserves it over Carrier. I think he does but that's just me.

I thought I read Vanek reached out to Buffalo in the offseason, I could be mistaken though.

I didn't hear that, but if he did, good for him. I don't think he was treated very fairly by a lot of the fan base (I'm sure I had moments where I wasn't fair to him as well).

This does bring up an interesting conversation though that ties in to Lehner. Lehner is judged unfairly due to the trade Murray made to get him, just like Vanek was judged unfairly due to the GIANT contract that Edmonton gave him that Darcy was forced to match.
